I agree, I still find value using them on the map or on quests. They especially help against annoying mob enemies at the ages; having those enemies kill them selves due to riposte lets me focus on ghosting tiles to charge up specials and on setting the board up for the next wave

I do find Cyprian very useful for Season 3 and the later levels of Season 2. I’m just coming up to finish Season 2 on normal. I’m embleming Sonya now; so far she is up to 3 
I’m in low Platinum at the moment (about 2,000 cups) but I don’t really like raiding
