The OP is now changed to show the latest changes after the June balance update.
So I got this guy and am levelling now. Think he seems fun in a friend meets Carol/ Jack way. Looking forward to using him in bloody battle tournaments where the guaranteed damage should be fun especially if I can combine it with Franz.
Does anyone know if his friend bomb damage scales with attk stat in same way as DoT?
There is a key difference between fiend bombs and carols gift bombs! Fiend bombs only explode when their timer runs out, not when removed by healing or on death of the fiendās owner! Basically, scoratek is a fast sniper that needs his target ALIVE for at least 3 turnsā¦ I havenāt found a place for him yet

I havenĀ“t got this one yet, and given the colour and class, I donĀ“t mind as I have far too many leveling project in those categories anyway, but I would be happy to pull him eventually.
Since the update he seems like a useful and fun hero for offense. I have never met him on any defense yet (which makes sense, I wouldnĀ“t put him on def either, except maybe a bloody 4 star tourney)
Iām just waiting Junaid to finish up leveling and talent development since i do not have emblems for both. Junaid seems like more useful all-arounder. and jeahā¦ my Khepry experience says that these guys are easily countered in defense. looks like Scoratek destiny will be tied to offensive roles

Yellow has so many good snipers and this little beetle does not offer anything yellow would have needed. Griffin, Chao, Jackal, Bellerive just to name a few.
Donāt see a place for him in a roster that already has some options for his role. So he basically is a role player who sadly only offers value to a limited playerbase.
I agree Well Chao isnĀ“t really a competition for the others, so IĀ“d take him off them list.
And jackal is the one who makes all the others better, so heĀ“s first choice, but then you need one of the others as well.
Leaves Griffin, Bellerive and Scoratek to fight over that spot. Speed wise Bellerive doesnĀ“t fit as well as the other two. So the main question for me would be Griffin or Scoratek? DonĀ“t think it matters too much, but the beetle thing just sounds like more fun and all those stats/passives/family bonus thingies one gets from S5, but not as much from S4ā¦ Anyway I think there could be a place for him, but I gotta get him first
You are totally wrong tho.
He is one of the best 4 star sniper so far with that Fiend. You can just put the Fiend on Flank and that explosion deal 1.2k in total if the tank is alive.
And donāt forget he can slow Mana down with the Family Bonus
I mostly Bring him with other color as Damage dealer + Mana Controller.
7 tiles and you can hit like 1.2k and if you are lucky, Mana Gen Down.
Thatās excellent.
And his stats is quite sturdy to sustain from 5 stats LB.
Just emblem him shield and Health for sustain cause his primary use is the Fiend and The Mana down.
The initial damage is not important.
I think you are talking about Kepri, the 5 star version here with the 1.2k damage. The fiend is the same, but Scoratek only does 1 fiend to target (not 3 like Kepri does to target and nearby).
So Scorateks fiend does 600 damage to target and 300 nearby.
KepriĀ“s 3 fiends (if you target the tank) deal a total of 1200 to the tank, then 900 to the nearby and 300 to the wings.
Unless of course you meant a total of 1200 spread out over 3 targetsā¦ in which case I am with you
Yep but 600 damage and 300 nearby for a Fast Hero is amazing especially in 4 stars tournament.
If you compare it with 5 stars for sure they outshine him.
But if you compare him to other 4 stars, he is way above them.
Good for bloody battle yes. Not so much for rush or buff booster cause its unlikely his fiends will survive long enough. So while indeed he has high damage potential, it is conditional and thats why i rank him below Griffin for example.
I guess the damage without the fiends going of is rather insignificantā¦ so I guess heĀ“s no good on defense teams outside bloody battle. But on offense he could still work. Maybe a bit tricky, obviously one wouldnĀ“t bring him along against one of those Healer/WuKong defenses in buff booster and in rush any fast hero is at a disadvantage. But against a normal defense with 0-2 healers one could probably time it right (when the healeres are low on mana) and then just try not to set off the healers. Also Boldtusk and Kiril for example heal less than 30%, so in theory (depending on troops etc) he could steal one of those heals away completely and then still detonate. Interesting tactical possibilities, but probably not allrounder enough to be the first yellow to upgrade.
