Rusk attack war, mana vs crit troops

I’m wondering if I should use mana or crit troops for my war defense team in a rush attack war. The answer, I suspect, is more complicated than a yes or no. Thoughts/suggestions much appreciated.

It would help to know what your defense team and the levels of the respective troops.

There is also an aspect that mana troops will make your team worth less.

Without knowing more I’d say mana. This is about speed. A few points of health or defense aren’t as important to me.

Heros: Frosth 85/20, Elizabeth 85/20, Marjana C 80/20, Vivica 80/12, Garjammal 80/19 all mana troops are lvl 27, crit troops are lvls 13 & 14.

I have other options on heros.
Athena 85/20 or Magni C 80/5
Telluria 85/20, Kingston 80/20
Malosi 85/20, Neith 80/11
Grazul 89/15
Seshat 80/20 Hel 80/20 Malicna 80/8

If you have a S1 hero with costume and 4% mana talent node ( monk, Druid, sorcerer) you do not need a mana troop to go from 6,5 tiles ( effectively 7) to 6 tiles in rush wars or tourneys, In this cases a high level crit or ninja troop can be beneficial.
In all other cases take the mana troop.

If rush war makes all heroes vf, wouldn’t that mean they are all 7 tiles to fire? Yes, 6.5, but they should fire with 6 tiles with a lvl 9/+ mana troop, no?

11 but yes, mana troops will make them fire faster. On defense beside gaining mana in every turn they gain mana faster when they are hit by tiles so it is a bit harder to calculate how much or how fast

You need 9% mana gain to fire after 6 tiles in VF. Thats a lvl11 Mana troop or a combination of costume bonus, mana troop and talent nodes. If you have a rogue with 2% mana at node 8, you only need a lvl5 mana troop. A season 1 costume with 5% mana bonus needs only a lvl1 mana troop.
