Revamp / Update the "QUESTS" - New Uncommon and Rare Quest Ideas

As new buildings and stronghold levels are unlocked, players are needing more food, iron, and storage space. To help with that new advanced buildings have been created. Higher Training Camp levels also consume large amounts of recruits. However, some new quests could help with all of these problems. For all of these extra quests, maybe reaching experience level 10 could unlock a 3rd common/uncommon/rare quest, level 15 a 4th, etc. (excluding event quests, seasonal quest, and class quests)

I’m fine with a lot of these, but the experience one seems way too generous. Someone who just leveled up to 60 can get to 61 the next day by finishing a very hard level? Don’t like that. I do love the ideas of Atlantic coin quest and some better items, that would be most welcomed.

I second this.

As F2P, I’ll do that all.

The Uncommon version sometimes give Epic Troop Token, what about the Rare version?

But they might create new problems if require too many flags/energies…

Yes the new quest should use less energy and not overlap with other Rare Quest, Trial, etc. I agree.

It’s not exactly final. I was just following a pattern so I did not really stop to think about that one and it is a bit generous . If you have a lower level (1-10ish) you can sometimes just level up on the gain experience common quests. Maybe it could be an extremely difficult level or more likely the values would be decreased to 10% and 20% or something like that. If you have any ideas, feel free to express them.

As for epic troop tokens, I was not exactly sure where to put them. Maybe a possible 2x Epic Troop token for Very Hard. Epic troop tokens are not the “featured loot” so I decided not to put them.
For world energy, maybe flasks could become more common to deal with this. I just always find myself with a shortage of food and iron.

I like this idea but agreed with @yelnats_24 and @jinbatsu. This would make some of those useless “quests” fun again, plus worth doing.

I would get in board with this BUT I don’t want the materials rare quests to suffer…

I feel if you added more “rare” quests, the existing materials quests (frostmarch, shrikewood etc…) would be less frequent… I.e. the time period between rare quests would stay the same but have more of them…

They don’t have to become rarer. Just keep the rotation for the unfarmable mat quests and emblem quests and replace some of the current tier I and II quests with a tier III quests.

Either make it a 1/3 chance to become one of the three rarity tiers or remove common quests completely for more advanced players and give them the harder “Find Gems/Resources/… III” instead. Either way the frequency of the various quest types would be as usual, only the rarity tiers would be different.

It’s clear that we really need a shake-up as many of the current tier I and even II quests are completely unattractive for somewhat advanced players (when even farming 8/7 is more rewarding) and also way too easy. I would personally even embrace a fourth rarity tier (Find Gems IV for instance) with really challenging levels but also great rewards.

4 resets tokens ? Thats way too much. 1 reset token or a new wild emblems (substitute to all emblems)

for hard: 1 flask of each (or 1 titan flask)
Very hard: 2 hero tokens.

This is a smashing idea love it

This is an excellent idea, it would reward players putting a Lot of effort and make the Game more enjoyable. For these hard quests, a final level With a boss like Ursena would be great! I really enjoyed that battle as I like challenges.

I love this thread; wish it would be implemented…

It’s interesting tho because many of the suggestions here regarding Quests for Empires & Puzzles have made their way over to the other Puzzles game that SGG are developping (Puzzles Combat).

They have:

  • Additonal difficulty Food & Iron quests
  • Loot Ticket quests
  • Find “troops” quests
  • Second difficulty to “Scavenge Resources”

There isn’t a “Rare” stage to all the quests as suggested but there is SOME more value to them :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi folks, what do you think about the idea of 5 different levels for every quest, event, PoV or whatever, with the best loot for completing the insane levels?
So every tier has its own challenge.

It’s been a good while since an interesting quest popped up. It feels really stagnant. I think giving something more exciting at least once per week would incentivize people to do the quests and enjoy it. The average quests are barely worth doing (or straight out a loss of movement points). When there’s nothing fun happening in the game it gets boring and that’s no good for players or developers (cause bored players go away).

There’s plenty of options to create some more fun quests with reasonable rewards - meaning cool enough to want them, but not so much that they would cost SG anything much.

With the arrival of challenge events, which I think are a great idea and really give a reason to build up a stash of items and various hero teams over the month, battle items have risen in value even to players who don’t really mess with titans much or don’t want to climb the story mode (which really isn’t worth a pinch of salt, either, the completion gives absolutely nothing [which is really lame by the way :P]).

So how about a series of quests that reward those?

Say…

Quest A, fighting a few dragon bosses rising in strength. Rewards for tiers:

  • 1 axe attack
  • 1 dragon banner
  • 1 dragon attack

Quest B, people on higher levels say they’re often short of antidotes, so maybe a more difficult spider-oriented quest:

  • 5 healing potions
  • 5 antidotes
  • 2 super antidotes

Quest C & D, how about something focused on healing/mana potions? I think such theme could help these stand out from the simple “find battle items”:

  • 3 minor mana/3 minor health potions
  • 3 mana/3 health potions
  • 1 super mana/1 super health potion

Quest E, army-looking dudes, let’s go for some banners:

  • 2 turtle banners
  • 2 bear banners
  • 1 dragon banner

Quest F, a difficult and rare battle items quest, last part for high-end teams like say Morlovia’s ending:

  • 1 revive scroll
  • 1 tornado
  • 1 time stop
  • 1 miracle scroll

Quest G, a hulk smash quest:

  • 2 arrow attack
  • 2 axe attack
  • 2 bomb attack
  • 1 dragon attack

I’d be excited to see any of these pop up and I’d jump right into them whereas when I see another gather hardwood lumber or iron I can’t even take I just go “meh again? snoooooooooze”.

Next how about a quest I, a hero catch-up quest:

  • 15k food
  • 10 practice swords
  • 10 adventurers kits
  • 2 silver tokens

The recruits II quest sometimes gives a troop token, so how about a rare difficult quest that would outright say it might? For instance, quest J, ending on high difficulty:

  • 1 silver token
  • 1 troop token
  • 1 golden token

If it didn’t pop up often it wouldn’t be bad money-wise seeing how it usually gives garbage anyway lol, but it would sure be a joy to see for the players.

And then of course a rare and difficult flask quest:

  • 1 world energy flask
  • 1 raid flask
  • 1 alliance flask

Setting a bunch of these quests to have difficult final levels (or all levels) could provide some refreshing challenge to players who have lost interest in the beginner quests ages ago. I for sure would welcome the diversity and if the rarity was adjusted properly I think these would not really mess with the game’s balance.

Some cool ideas there, I definitely think there’s an opportunity to easily add some variety here. Thanks for taking the time to write that up!

If they take out cadets quest i just support you on whatever you want.

Seriously, someone has ever done one of them?

They need to unlock another builder at 10. It take to much time to upgrade.

And we get Farholme. The summoning by the power of bitching on the forums!

{yes I know it’s a coincidence, shush}

Once in a while the recruits quest comes up right after I’ve started an epic training and I’ll run through it.
