Sorry, for not have image when the stack do damage but Reuben buff really reduce damage from Skadi stack.
As the picture say, Reuben buff should reduce only damage from statue ailment and not for stack. It should be similar to “cleanse over turn” of Francine that doesn’t remove Skadi stack.
Francine’s effect doesn’t get rid of stacks because stacks are undispellable. That doesn’t stop them from interacting with other effects. If you have a +50% defense up stack and a -25% regular defense down ailment you will end up with +25% defense, it doesn’t just prevent the defense down ailment from doing anything.
Stacks are not buff or ailment. Dispell and cleanse don’t do anything to stack. Mist block but doesn’t black stack.
No, you will get 1.5 x 0.75 = +12.5% defense instead as they affect in the same time but that doesn’t mean Reuben buff should be able to reduce damage from stack.
He creates minions just for skadi and then he solves the stack problem with his skills. Brilliant, solving the problem by creating it in the first place.
@maryij Thank you. I forget to read the description of the Reuben himself.
The card say “reduce damage from status effect” but the buff say “reduce damage from status ailment”. It look like that is a problem at buff description rather than bug .
The passive explicitly mention status aliments and negative stacks that influence mana.
The special skill mentions only damage via status aliments but nothing about stacks.
So if they have to mention aliments and stacks as different things in the passive ability it’s reasonable to assume that the special skill should only work against aliments but not stacks.
They make the card description match the buff description but make effect of the buff match the original card description. They make it even more incorrect. That is funny .
