Rare Quests with guaranteed ascension mats spawn on a slightly random interval, but always at the same time for everyone, and they average every 10 days.

If you’re only seeing them every month or two, you just haven’t been checking Quests regularly.

Here are some of the recent dates (notice there were 6 over the span of 7 weeks):

Are you talking about elemental chests and not rare quests?

How long since the last rare quest? It seems like ten days or so but can’t remember.

I dont like that trendline for days between rare quests appearing.

I would not trust that trendline. It is interesting to note the following update in October 2017.

  • Rare Quests are now less likely to overlap with Challenge Events but are slightly more likely to appear at other times
