Rare Opening, BYOB! (filled, again)

Edited to add: June 11, 2020 one seat open.

Cracking Open a Cold One

Sadly, a long-time member has decided to move on. So we will have one spot available after this weekend’s war. Are we what you’re looking for?

  • Titans: we string 10 stars with the occasional 11.
  • War: color coordinated tanks (but your choice at flank and wing), no timing requirements
  • Line: optional, but available if you want to participate in that way.

We are an active, friendly, and relaxed alliance. I’d say there’s a friendly competition to see who can top the titan and war boards, and then we celebrate each others achievements and drops. We’re more focused on camaraderie and fun than moving up the ranks. We have a player over level 100 and many who can raid into the top 100, but but there are NO performance or spending requirements. We just ask that you be active. War is optional, but if you opt in we expect all your flags to be used.

My wife and I have been a member of this alliance for 177 days. This is our fourth alliance over the last three plus years. We both agree Cracking Open A Cold One is the best we have joined.

We have been in a top 100 alliance in the past. We found in time we were expected to treat the game as a second job. Lots of pressure to score high on titans and in war. Listened to leaders and alliance members express rage in chat if they did poorly. Like this game is a televised sporting event. We felt pressure and shame ourselves if we scored poorly as that is the vibe the collective projected. If we all scored 100 100% of the time, the game would become monotonous.

If you feel pressure to perform or spend money on gems to improve your hero’s to keep up. Do not lose sight of this is just a game. It’s meant to be fun and enhance your life. Not add an ounce of negativity to it. Ivy is a kind and wise leader. We all follow her vide so there is no pressure to perform. I love that we all treat each other with respect. No picking on members or discussions you would be embarrassed to have in front of your mother. We are supportive and laid back.

If you feel yourself getting tired of this game as we were. It may not be the game you are becoming wary of. It may be your alliance. Feel free to give us a try. We are glad we did 177 days ago. Ivy helped us remember what the point of this game is. To have fun!

We have said our goodbyes to our long-time member, so the spot is now open! Come by and see if we’re the right fit for you.

I just want to add to what BfB said. If you are a serious player of the game but still want to have fun, this is your alliance. Ivy and I started the game around the same time and somehow fell into this alliance together. Sadly, the original leader left the game. However, the other members stayed active and Ivy started a new group. There are many of us who have been in the group from the beginning. We have p2p, c2p and f2p all coexisting in a very friendly active group.

As I have said many times in our alliance chat in the game, you could not find a better leader than Ivy if you want to be serious about the game while remembering it is a game. She had taken every decision to promote and demote people with great care. As she said in the message, we are an active, friendly alliance. We have had many newer players in the alliance and have been happy to give advice.

Hearing that Ivy had posted a recruiting message I read through the various recruiting posts. I (and even more so BfB and others in our alliance) meet the requirements to be on a top 100 team. I have to say it is not for me. I am thrilled to be with this group and would like to find more people who feel the same.

Andrew, thank you for this very kind post! It’s fun to read about our alliance history. In my mind, it’s a real testament to our group’s cohesion that we successfully migrated like 15-20 members to the new group (since that was the only way to replace the leader).

Bumping this, as we have an opening again. As has been posted in this thread, if you do NOT want to feel the pressure of a top 100 allliance, this is a good home. Also, you may be tired of all green tanks…

Though, to be fair I should disclose we’ve seen them twice in the last 10 or so wars. Still less Telluria.

@Steve7181, I want to thank you for being with us! And, to any recruiters out there, I highly endorse Steve. Strong player, great teammate.

Wife here. I’ll vouch for what BFB says and add that I have periods of time where I can’t focus on the game as much as some other alliances expect, so this is the perfect fit for me - especially because Ivy is such a great Leader. Never have I once seen her lose her cool, and having been a Leader in another game for 6 or 7 years, I know that’s not an easy feat sometimes.

Then there are our Teammates. I simply love them! They are the most kind, respectful bunch I’ve ever met in a game! Whether you’re 12 or 80, you’ll feel welcomed and respected by them. :heart_decoration:

Join us while we have one spot, because typically people come and stay.
