Raid tournaments count towards your hero chest, meaning once you fill it, you don’t have to raid unless you’re low on food / iron.
Add in the fact that there’s a seasonal event and a recent challenge event. Both which can’t be auto-battled strictly, unlike map farming.
And yes, probably a holidays thing too
I myself just hunt for raids when I need iron, and when I need to fill my hero chest. Raids take about 5~10 minutes on average – 15 minutes worst case because of the timer.
Filling your hero chest alone, can take about 30 minutes a day to 1 hour. It’s why I personally raid less too – it can be time consuming, particularly with the parade of Mother Norths and Aegirs and Kunchens in diamond.
This shouldn’t be allowed. Dude is like 800 points higher than me, there’s no effing way I can revenge this and he didn’t get anything but 13 trophies? Shouldn’t there be a cap like no lower than 300 team power lower than your team or something?
My viewpoint: you need largely more RNG than skills. And thats too bad. It’s like going into a casino playing blackjack.
While you get the choice if attack team and board. The combos are a big flaws.
You don’t want combos in this game unless it’s lethal… Why ? Because it charges unwanted enemies skills. Also… The winner if the battle is often already decided by the 3 first turn… (bad boards)
Also… The IA is not totally RNG, it seems having more chances to attack the weakest or key characters multiple times in a row. I was that too many times i can’t count.
The IA also has 15% extra def and att if you don’t know. It makes some heroes super broken in def teams (Isarnia+ AOE attacker, Kageburado oneshooting everything… )
so yeah in a war enemies can get a dmg boost (heroes buff)on top of a dmg boost(war buff) on top of another dmg boost(defense enemies buff) on top of another dmg boost using wukong/tarlak like skills…
Or you have really OP heroes x) in 4* my top are Wilbur(my fav hero) /Proteus/Gretel/Boldtusk/Buddy
And 5*: Joon/Khiona/Ranvir(titan killer also good in events)/Thorne(pretty good with wilbur)/Sartana/Ares(my big dmg final touch).
Not much… But i can still kill top teams with it.
I use triple color + Wilbur + dispell strat. Which is powerful.
70% win rate… Revenge only, still. I don’t care about top 100. I only Care about staying in diamond.
Combos are the things that kills me the most.
And in tornaments… Im best in 4* tornaments.
I don’t use emblems on 3*
Yup, for new players raids can be bad. I hated raiding early on. All I did was lose. So I just didn’t raid. There are plenty of other things to do in the game.
Once I got a deeper bench and gained skills in wars I found raiding much easier and enjoyable.
Not as often as you would think. I often end up in matches where the boards start bad. Sometimes I go 3 moves with no mana charging of my heroes at all. But I tend to build my teams for durability as well as attack so I as often as not can survive long enough to turn the boards around and win.
Note I have mainly TC20 heroes and I tend to attack teams with higher TP.
Sure, and I would likely feel the same way if I had an alt account.
But an alt account is very different from starting out brand new. You already have all the required skills and experience. Raids are frustrating until you get those skills and experience, and it appears from this thread that some players just never do.
I have someone in my Alliance building his heroes around the concept of defense and durability.
He emblemed all his 4* and 5* heroes through Defense and Health route.
This means his Triton, Sonya, Grimm, Kingston, Seshat and most other snipers are all on Defense / Health route instead of Attack / Defense path. Bad move I would say.
How does it work out for him?
Surprisingly he is holding it out in early to mid Diamond pretty well.
I might want to try this kind of strategy in the future but then I couldn’t bring myself seeing my +18 Triton doing much less damage than he is doing now because I reset his emblem and put it on Defense / Health.
According to him though, Seshat at +10 with all emblems on Defense / Health is very very hard to kill… often ended up being the last hero standing in his team against much stronger opponent.
I dont have to just follow a path of emblems to build defense, hero’s skills counters and synergies work just as well. I see so many posts of players going mono and 4-1 bragging about how they took down such amd such team that was 300 to 400 points higher than them and do this regularly never stacking more than 2. Raids are an area for me to practice my builds and that’s how I treat them. The only bad part for me in raids is being in diamond, the diversity of builds is not as much as it was in platinum but I order to be ready in wars I need to take on. The toughest opponents I can. I wished they had actual percentage of raids won and lost and not just wins to show how often a person raids. That could tell a lot. Just like being a cup dropper says a lot In itself.
The emblem path you use depends very much on the hero you are embleming and what you intend to use that hero for. Does it make sense to use the defense path for Lianna? Not if you intend her to be a strong sniper.
Building a defensive, durable team is more about the team’s abilities. Is a team of 5 snipers a defensive team? No. Is a team of 5 healers a defensive team? Very much so. But if you do no damage you will still lose. It will just take longer. Getting the right balance is key.
