I have Kiril and his costume, and I mostly use the costume. I have limit broken both the regular and costume versions, and the costume is at lvl75 while the regular version still sits at lvl70. My question is, is there any point in maxing the regular version as well? Is there going to be another bonus for maxing both the regular and costume versions after limit break? Or should I just leave the regular version at lvl70 and use the feeders and resources on other heroes, since I almost only use the costume?

Thanks! I had the same question. So, just to double check, I have Kiril and his costume, but I mostly just use the costume. That means I only need to bring the costume to lvl75, and there is no need to waste feeders and resources on the regular version, since bring the regular version to lvl75 does not give any more bonus?
Although I haven’t tried it yet myself, I’d say no. Typically the costume can’t be (or be used at) any higher level than the hero. It’s logical, otherwise why bother levelling the hero at all? I can’t see why it would be different with LBs.
As someone above me mentioned you will have to LB both regular and costume version to level up the costume only part. You can then only max the costume portion like I did with Grimm -
ok so with costumes
normally as you level the costume from one tier to the next the base stats get a boost up to 5%/5%/10%
When you limit break the costume and max it again does it increase the 5%/5%/10% or does this still remain the max costume bonus?
Although you need to limit break the standard version first to also LB the costume one, after that it is enough if you only level up the costume version from 70 to 75 (standard can stay on 70).
As the costume version is vastly superior I did the same. I will at some point level up the standard one as well, only for the 4* buff tournaments.
Thanks for the confirmation! Yes, I had to limit break both the regular and costume versions of Kiril; but I only took the costume version to lvl75, since that is what I mostly use.
And your Grimm costume looks awesome! I wish I could pull it as well.
You would need the regular hero at 75 when they introduce the second level of limit breaking. Which I am absolutely convinced now will happen. Also third and (for 4* and 5*) fourth.
I can’t wait to face level 100 Friggs (or whatever the meta is that I am missing out on)
I know I’ve read it on the forum somewhere & can’t find it. If I plan to LB a second costume, I know I have to first LB the OG hero. How about the first costume… is there any benefit/boost of limit breaking it as well if I have no immediate plan to use it?
You can get a costume bonus if you level both costumes, so it makes sense to level both if you want increased stats. Look up the specific card in the forums and the first post will show you the base stats, without emblems. Random example below:
Thank you @Neotoxin for this. That answered a big chunk of my question (and not sure how i missed this before!).
The other piece I was looking for I was able to check by LB Li Xiu & her 2 costumes. Her 2nd costume 4.75 base stats did not go up when I leveled the 1st costume to 4.75. The original I left at 4.70.
