How about to add ‘profile talents’ with three diferent trees. Only one talent of 3 possible you can choose on level : 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50. Higher level = more powerful talent. Concept of trees are:
First tree - is for improving Hero Damage/Healing/Defense.
Second tree – is for improving Building and hero making process: Faster/Cheaper etc.
Third tree – is for improving Resources getting, heroes drop % chance and somth like that.
So I think it helps for a new players, and will be motivation for guys who are 30-40 levels to get faster 50 for strong talent. +you can put function to unlearn talents for a GEMS (like a namechange for 500 gems). In my opinion it will be profitably for both sides: developers and consumers.
