Poll: Raid/War Color Stacking

I betcha it’s because people subconsciously misread your name and think it says Bobb, when the B could be eg Brenda Robb

Actually my first assumption was Bro BB.

My money is on Baroness Rochelle Ophelia Barton-Brown.

But I’d rather never know…

Almost typical mono fight. Usually they get off at least one cast. This time they didn’t. I might swap Merlin out for Khiona as he dies so easily, but man I love being able to lock down up to 4 opponents.

I think it’s actually Latin:

Bastet Regina Omnia BulletinBoardii

3/2 90% of the time, 3/1/1 9% and 1% other which is generally war when getting to my last flags where I don’t have full lvl 4 and 5*s left so 4/1 or mono is needed to have a chance against high lvl opponents.

Really enjoy 3/2 though, 3 on tank and 2 for most dangerous flank depending on the opponent roster and synergy of their heros. I never look at team power anymore using 3/2 as it is meaningless when tiles are king

I usually go 2-2-1 [I’m playing in the 2100/2200 range]. The only one that gets a lot of hate from me when i see it, is Kashhrek so i go 3-1-1 just to see it implode fast since i usually get bad boards against him tank [maybe im trippin’].

Is the mono advantage just due to combined bonuses stacking? Do troops AND hero stats stack?

The answers are yes and yes, but the advantage is not linear. The damage equation actually significantly boosts damage when attack power exceeds defense.

The average damage is 100*(Attack/Defense)^1.35, so by adding multiple attackers together, you get much more damage than their individual attacks would cause.

Interesting! Thanks! I’ve experimented with it a lot on titans, but I never saw a real increase in my damage output (anecdotally).

Hi folks :hugs:

As said, how do you stack?

Okay, mostly everyone knows about the force of tiles, the more heroes of a color one brings to a fight.

There are several ways to stack. I’m going to tell you my experiences so far.

3-2 seems to be the most effective one for me. 3 against the tank and 2 against the more annoying flank or toughest healer. My healers mostly belong to the (let’s call it the) main stack, but I could imagine, that off colour healing would also be effective. Also in wars I prefer this strategy to fight tougher teams.

3-1-1 or 4-1 against titans, since I use Wilbur and Wu every time. I try to bring def down, att up and 2 or at least 1 health unit/s as well, since it takes too long to heal the wounded by potions.

Mono (all same color) don’t seem a good idea for me due to devastating boards.

2-2-1 is also a possible formation and the softest form of stacking. Increases the amount of hero driven tiles, but decreases the tile damage in comparison to 3 or 4 of a kind.

But let’s go deeper into your stockings… lol… ehm… stackings

How do you stack and why?
Do you put healing off toughest stack or include it?
Do you sometimes stack against healing instead of tank, if healers are the wings?
Do you even use stacks in your defense?
Or do you even go mono without complaining about bad boards?

Feel free to tell your strategies of stack building and answer one or more of the leading questions, which are meant more to be a help to think.

Share your experiences with us all. :slightly_smiling_face: :sunglasses:emphasized text

There was a poll on this topic not that long ago. I didn’t read the whole thread, but it probably addresses the questions you brought up.

@Rook @Kerridoc @zephyr1 I’m guessing this is a merge.

Merged. :heart_decoration:

This is my preference pretty much all the time for Raiding.

At the moment, I always use Proteus and Rigard as two of my team members, so they’re either the off-color 2, or are 2 of the 3 in a purple stack.

I’ve been thinking about how that might change once I have Vivica leveled up more (she’s 3-26 now, currently planning to go to max), or if I happen to get Ariel.

This has basically been my tendency since getting Wilbur and Wu too.

The only place this is a bit of a challenge currently is red titans, where I don’t have space for a healer, and just have to make due without. I use defensive items, and sometimes minor mana for Wilbur.

This is another place Ariel would be ideal.

For war I have 6 decent rainbow teams. I could try mixing them up a bit to form better attack teams, but I’m too lazy keeping track, so I use the same preformed for every war.

In normal Raids I usually use the same attack team (BT,Grimm,Kage,Sartana,Lianna). Sometimes I change it up a bit, putting in an additional strong colour against the tank, but I usually win with this team even against purple tanks without making changes.
Kage+Sartana just kill take out every dangerous hero with two strikes. It’s only a problem if I don’t get enough purple tiles.

For titans I do colour stacking, usually 4-1, 3-1-1 or 3-2 depending on the titan. Wu everytime, Wilbur most of the time. Against red and blue I prefer Grimm.

i like the 3-1-1 option as a tank buster with lower power teams , still trying to get my 5th & 6th teams over 3k & a couple 4* with a 3* treble works nicely to break some tanks for other weaker alliance members to mop up

My colour choice has changed (evolved?) over the course of playing this game.

To start, as with I bet everyone, I used rainbow team. I didn’t understand the mechanics of colour stacking and I wanted to maximize my tile damage. At thst time I was not raiding and I did not join an alliance until I’d been playing for a couple of months (mainly because I wanted to find out what this “approaching titan” thing was).

After joining my alliance I started to learn more about the mechanics of the game. I started attacking titans and participating in alliance wars. The wars taught me about colour stacking more than anything else. Often with my weak bench the only way to get any points at all with my last 3 flags was to mono stack.

Then I started doing raids, usually mono or 4-1, but not with any great frequency. For a long time my titan kills actually was larger than my raid victories.

As my bench strength increased I started using different combinations, first in AW then in raids. 2-2-1, 3-1-1, 3-2. I found for me with my roster and/or playing style that 3-2 was the best. That is now what I use primarily, although the last 1 or 2 AW flags will be 4-1 or mono still. My last few top 30 are still 3* heroes. I have reached diamond briefly a couple times and my rest state seems to be around 2100. I still don’t raid a lot, some days I will use all 6, many I don’t.

I want to do this too since I have 4 Sakura heroes already…Mitsuko/Sumitomo/Kageburado/Namahage. I would cap this team with Rigard for my healer and 3/2 effect, but Namahage would need to be emblemed because he’s only a 3 star.

I can’t answer this poll for two reasons:

Reason one, I designate different strategies for each member of my team based on their available teams vs. our opponent’s teams. So sometimes I have some teams color stack, but other times I designate rainbow.

Reason two: I don’t want to give away too much info on my war strategy, as it has been highly successful for my team and I don’t want our opponents to copy it.

I will reveal this much - I divide my team’s attacks into three groups: Alpha teams, Specialists, and Cleanup crews. The Alphas go after the big teams, usually using rainbow or mostly rainbow teams. The Specialists are tasked with taking out specific targets (tanks, healers, buffers, riposters, etc.). The Specialists may or may not use color stacking based on the target. The Cleaners are mostly unleveled rainbow trash teams used for repeatedly striking the soft targets and for cleaning up any leftover stragglers that our Alphas and Specialists aren’t able to fully clear.

The exact details in how I designate these attacks vary based on the kind of defenses our opponent puts up and what kind of field support is currently active.

I’m putting mono on hold for the next war. It’s just too hit or miss (literally).

I’m going to try 3-2 but I’m getting conflicting advice. I’m reading that a lot of players stack 3 against the tank and 2 against the strongest flank.

Still others recommend going neutral to the tank and stacking 3 against the strongest flank, 2 against the weaker flank.

I’m not sure which method to use?

3-1-1 all the way. Win pretty consistently in raids. And for war being in an international alliance generally i am one of the first hits. So i just try to bust open some tanks and let the team clean up when they get on later than me.
