Crap hero that isn’t even better than S3 hero release 2yrs+ ago. Everything he do Freya/Bera does the same at fast speed and better. He is arguably even worst than Frosth, Frosth is fast, buff other minion and elemental like give small mana.

Weird trying to justify a obviously bad hero with poor design (minion need to be directly hit to have effect). If given the choice why would anyone use him over Freya/Bera or even Frosth. If you want a yellow minion Delilah could probably be better with direct heal and then elemental link. That’s without even mention DirectorZ as yellow minion maker.

What you stated is exactly why I have him sitting at 1-1. I see no reason to even touch him and had
No issues when facing him the very few times I’ve run across him

Personally, Id love to have him!

He is a perfect companion to w3k heroes , just need to have him more in the front line :slight_smile:
Can give mana and heal (same as w3k heroes), sand dmg is unique to minions (bera poison, Sun quan burn,…) and defense boost gives all interesting minions alot more survivability to do their effects for longer periods of time! :slight_smile:

he almost seems to be a yellow version of Freya but with sand damage instead of increased defense. Might be a good tandem there.

I just got him from free coins pull. He’s one of the weakest hero from the portal but I am still happy, as holy is my weakest element. I’ll be maxing and limit breaking and trying out in my defense.

Encountered him a few times; he poses more issues than you might think. Mainly if you cannot get your minion remover (like Eloise or Devana) loaded, his minions really protect the team.
I have him at 3/70 but will probably max him as next holy project (now finishing Vivica with both Costumes) unless elemental challenge will give me another yellow to max.

Good to hear. I’m really weak on holy, probably my best are Gazelle (bad idea for defense) and single costume Vivica (too slow and now out of date). I have the Director, but she is more geared for offence I think, even though she is good on defense I already use one healer (Purple Squid). So it’s welcome to have a problem causer for defense even though he is fairly passive.

How much mana is coming from his “all allies gain a small amount of mana”?

10%? or does it rely on the mana troop or speed of the hero?

Small amount of mana => 0.5 tiles. So the %-based value depends on the hero mana speed. And it’s also increased by any mana generation buff/malus they have (status effect/ailment and/or mana generation bonus from their troop).

Ugh, I’m at 12 darts, got my Papy at 3-70…I keep trying to convince myself into maxing him but he seems pretty bad. Diaochan is fast and gives a 32% heal plus a minion bigger than his (16% vs 14%). Maybe 30% defense is equivalent somehow lol. Anybody absolutely loving him?

I was super unimpressed with him when he came out, but I do feel he is quite a decent option on defense. Between the minions, the passive and the sand damage, he has always (well obviously with a good board no, so not quite always) been tricky for me when I face him.

He’s behind Rhys, Anne, Horus and maybe a couple others I’m not remembering for defense, but solid on D for those who don’t have one of the top options.

IMO. YMMV.

I agree that he seems a decent hero for the reasons you have described

Furthermore he’s good for autofarm teams because of the minions, defense and sand damage

I agree with previous posts, on paper (pun intended) he looks weak and does almost nothing, but still i often lose just because of him and all of the annoying little things he does. If i had him, i would take him to lvl 85.

I can find him very annoying particularly because of the mana gain if he coupled with Khufu and such. Otherwise I use anti-minion heroes against him.

Love the suggestions. My main addition is if he could bump up to very fast or fast his skills would be better balanced for the damage output. Either that or change the sand damage from when they get hit to when they attack. Either one of these simple changes I think would balance him very well

Actually something that might be balanced and not hard would be to make the damage received by the golums a stack that increases damage over time.

I really like mine, but I think the changes you mentioned would make him much better.
