Paladin special. How it works

Am i missing something here?? Defence is buffed or debuffed???

Tiburtus’ special adds a defense debuff of -34%.

The paladin effect adds +25% defense.

They’re both listed there

Does anyone know if Paladin can proc more than once and stack ?

So which one is active?? It can’t be both. Only one should be listed. Or do they stack and it’s like -34+25=-9 defence??

They stack. So his defense is -9%
