 Did you need to use a lot of items this time on Trials of Justice?

(hat tip to JAWS_3D for this question)

  • Yeah, I nuked the bosses from space. Ripley would approve.
  • I used some items to finish off the bosses, but it wasn’t the full arsenal
  • I used support items like mana, banners, healing, and maybe a battle item or two, but nothing too crazy
  • I just used some minor items, like healing, mana, or antidotes
  • I didn’t use any items

:dizzy: Special Questions for Trials of Justice

  • Monks and Paladins have a lot of healer options… but only amongst HOTM, Season 2 and Season 3 Legendary heroes, and Boldtusk’s Costume (other than Friar Tuck). Do you have any of those ultra-rare heroes or Boldtusk’s Costume for Trials of Justice? If not, did you find these Trials harder without healer options?

  • Monk Wilbur can really shine on Quests and Class Trials, where his combination of buffing and debuffing can help both survival and damage output. Do you have Wilbur, and if so, are you bringing him along?

  • Monk Wu Kong can turn even non-hitters into serious killers with heavy tile damage. Do you have Wu Kong, and if so, are you bringing him along?

  • Paladin Cyprian’s Perfect Riposte can be an effective strategy to killing multi-hitter and AoE Bosses like Richard and Justice. Do you have Cyprian, and if so, are you bringing him along?

:grey_question: Standard Questions for All Trials

  • Did your team change notably since last time?
  • Have Costumes caused changes to your team?
  • Did changes to your team make the Trials any easier or harder?
  • What items did you use, if any?
  • What are you doing with your shiny new Emblems?
  • If you beat Stage 3, who’s eating the 3* Trainer Hero?
  • Anything else interesting to share?

Made some changes, brought in Tarlak for Frida to double up green against boss Richie. Then moved Telly to Frida’s spot.

The resulting fire power was so significant that the battle ended very quickly

Trainer saved, Monk’s emblems to Tarlak, paladins saved.

4* challenge

The team:

Benched Sonya, C Tibs and Cyprian so I could run a 4-1 stack. So of course I got more blue and purple gems than ever before  But the Wilbur-BT-Falcon team is a great setup for a big hit. It looks like you are losing ground and then bam… all the enemies drop dead in one hit! Well Joon and Justice died in one go. Richard needed a little nudge to topple over. And that’s the game. :white_check_mark:

No items used. No heroes lost. Emblems saved. Trainer to Valeria. No reset. Devs have lost the red shiny button. It’s gone to the land of lost socks and keys.

Team: Heimdall, Richard, Wilbur, Sonja, Joon.
When the bosses showed up, they forgot to bring Friar Tuck - without healer it was clear that with my excess life power and the defense down of Wilbur, that they have no chance. Emblems for Telluria and Joon, Trainer for Poseidon.

This time I added QoH in my team and she made this fight so easy to beat. :joy:

I could give more emblems to Skadi and QoH , but I think I’ll just save them for some other heroes.
The trainer is going to be fed to Mist #2, don’t think I’ll save it for later… I need that spot in my roster. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Fairly straightforward: Telluria +14 / Joon +19 / Leonidas / Raffaele +1 / Wilbur +20

Used a couple of antidotes and one healing potion.

I guess I have to decide if I’m trying to save up 250 emblems for that mana boost on Joon. Tell will probably get the paladin emblems eventually, even if she’s fallen out of favor… Bai Yeong will be happy to consume the trainer (currently 4/72).

Completed using same team as last time:
Wu Kong, Joon, Telluria, Clarissa and G.Falcon
Used one purple banner

Team last time

Team this time
Thought id give it a go lol

Couldnt set up for a good board

Did some damage to Justice

But if i had more purple tiles i think i could of nailed this one

Emblems and Trainer saved

@Muchacho 4* challenge… I remembered.

Just took my heros who qualified. Some of whom I haven’t used for months.

It’s a good thing I took battle items med health, sm mana, antedotes and axes - I needed them for the last stage. It was messy .

The bosses seemed to hit harder than I remembered, so was a tad complacent when Sonya was obliterated by Joon, oops Cyprian didn’t have riposte up, then Richard picked on Li Xiu and next to fall Tibs, outside Cyps’ protection.

Bring on the next challenge…

In this case, it was a bit easier, as I could use Raffaele instead of Bjorn.

The last round, though you see some yellows and blue stones, was completely doomed. The lack of these stones almost took me to desperation.

I had to use some mana potions with Raffaele and both one dragon attack and stop time.

The trainer will go to the white rabbit, unlike the emblems, that will be kept until I max QoH and the Italian healer.

@Robkirky1 that was amazing, beating this trial with three 3*s ! congrats!

@Sarah2 great job too! how did it feel bringing those heroes out for a spin?

@Circe wow, your lineup looks like it would obliterate most challenge events!

Wukong - C.Boldtusk x2 - Wilbur - Joon.

It was all nice and easy until Richard and Justice were almost gone. At that point i did not receive a single red/yellow match. Used a couple dragon attacks to kill them off

Emblems will go to Joon and Tell. Trainer to my 2nd Gullimbursti

4* challenge. Monk and padalin I really do lack, jabberwok out and basically have another falcon thats it except 3* not even got one to level. :woman_shrugging:
Used health, Time stop and some dragon
Bit of a struggle but made it through.

Everything in storage at the moment.

@Muchacho @TGW 4* challenge again! yeah!

@Dudeious.Maximus nice work too - these bosses can be tough!

Link to plan

Decided to drop Boril costume (as I already have Cyprian in) for Wu Kong. With boss fights I usually prefer reliability and good specials… but considering the line up I do have, Wu should combo well with Boldy and Tibs.

boss stage, specials fired up, decent progress just with tile damage. Had to mana potion Boldy up so I could heal - Richard hit Wu and left him with 4 hp. yikes. poor frail monkey. Hang in there, buddy.

A four-tile Purple match murders Richard, hah! Then another tile match does Justice in before she can fire her special. Man, I am loving the monkey king now.

Joon hits Cyprian, who takes the attack in stride (he still has 500 hp left!) and ripostes. Then a Tibs/Wu combo plus a few lucky Purple tile matches do Joon in just as his mana bar charges…

Monk emblems banked for Aeron to +4. then I will give some more to Wu.

Paladin for 2nd Sonya.
Trainer to Justice.

Takeaway: Wu is worth it. I used to think he was great only for Titans… but I will definitely be using him in class quests, challenge events, and the world map a bit more. Still not for Raids / Wars, as the lack of items (in my opinion) makes it really risky.

Kudos again to @Muchacho - I would not have been able to appreciate Wu like this if you had not come up with the 4* challenge!

4* challenge: telly out, so no healer.

Also on the bench: li xiu and Leonidas (at 4/60).

It was close, but made it using just one healthpotion. (And some mana for Wilbur and antidotes vs blind/attackdown)

Trainer to Leonidas (only 15 levels to go…)
Emblems in storage

My team this time:

  • Chef Boldtusk +20
  • Wilbur +20
  • KISS Tiburtus +20
  • Thorne +9
  • Raffale 3^70

So, I’m finally getting the horses to do some good on this trial, and I expect my team for it to be in flux for the foreseeable future. Today, Raffale takes the place of Cyprian +18 who, despite his color advantage, is a bad match with Wilbur and brings little to the team. Raffale is decently sturdy at 3^70, and considering there are no healers or dispellers among the bosses, I’m thinking he can basically reset my team mid-fight and allow me to finish them without items. My Joon is still on the ascent, so I probably have to work him in somewhere next time, and eventually, I think Zulag has a role to play (massive heal and defense boosts, and the right color to deal with the bosses). Anyway, on to the fight.

Mob waves were, once again, unremarkable. Managed to preserve a blue diamond for the bosses and go in with all specials charged. Fired Boldtusk, Wilbur, Tiburtus, and Thorne, then unleashed the blue diamond, causing a cascade that gave me a purple diamond and also recharged Thorne for another shot. Popped the purple diamond and nearly ended the fight with it. Joon and Richard fired following this cascade, but with Wilbur’s buff active, both attacks meekly bounced off, and Boldtusk even resisted Richard’s def down. For the second straight trial, Thorne finished the fight with the oh-so-satisfying triple boss kill. Icecold Finisher, indeed! :muscle:

Monk emblems saved for Joon, who also gets the yellow trainer hero. Not enough paladin emblems for Thorne’s tenth node… BUT, since I was only keeping Cyprian emblemed for this trial - he barely gets off the bench otherwise - I reset him to continue building Giga-Thorne. I am now out of food, but I’m sporting a Thorne +15 with an attack of 717. A few more paladin emblems, and his attack will top out at 732 - not too shabby when whacking with a 480% multiplier on his special. Will the Weasel succeed in obtaining a Thorne costume, bringing this monster to an unholy 769 attack stat? Stay tuned… (Tagging @Muchacho because THORNE!)

4* challenge… :sunglasses:

My Team This Time

My Team This Time

Telluria out,… Boril.C in… he is blue which is good color for mobs wave.

Other options…

OK, almost all decent start on boss wave.

Boril.C is helped, but not so significant,… only little counter, so that means I need some items 1xheal, 6x antidots, 8x minor mana. Cheft Boldtusk is died…

Emblems Telluria is finish +20, so Paladin Falcon is now +14 and will continue to +19 (mana lvl 17 almost there). Monk Joon is also finish +20, will keep for now, maybe later for Wilbur to max +20, so that I can use another mana troop lvl 11, and I need more mana troop red. Trainer goes to 2nd Gullinbursi :muscle:

This was easy enough with:

cBoldtusk / Wilbur / cTiburtus / cTiburtus / Clarissa

I did lose my cTibs who had no emblems, that was purely due to not pay attention at all haha. I don’t know what I was doing but I completely spaced out and suddenly I noticed him dead, and Clarissa + cBoldtusk with only 100 health each. SO I used health pots, and that was it.

Still no reset token. I assume they have removed them then? :frowning:
ANy 2* feeders or dupes, or trainers I get are all going to my Vanda.
All 1* are going to Gobbler

Paladin emblems are going to Clarissa I have 101 and need 125 to get her to node 10, I think.
Monk emblems went to Wilbur, he was a +14 and now +16

4* challenge

Emblems saved for mica. Telluria clock ticking. :thinking:would have went with wu, but eh, decided to go with a damage dealer.
