My friend is unable to make any move.
It looks like the autoplay may be on which is why he can’t do anything himself. But it does appear there is a board load error of some kind too with it only having a few tiles at bottom as opposed to full board.
Board issue may be just temporary glitch. Best to exit app and re-open to see

Your friend will have to quit the app and relaunch at @Kilted suggested.

If the problems persists, clean the cache too.
