šŸµ New Riddles of Wonderland Challenge Event ā€“ FAQ, Discussion & Summoning Results

Ha, beat you in epic by 1k and you beat me in rare by 1k  interesting that the loot summary is the same but looks different and how many ranks difference 1k makes. Congrats! :slightly_smiling_face:

Every once in awhile I contemplate making a run at top 10 in rare or epic tiersā€¦ then by the end of the event Im glad I didnt when is see the top scores.

Not sure anyone if any of them are willing, but Im curious to know how many WE flasks/energy refill were used.

Actually @Richter, have a look in this threadā€¦ Epic event scores ā€“ #1 Wonderland November 2019

Iā€™m having trouble remembering last month, but maybe it was this way and I was just doing a better job watching the timer in-game. But technically it was extended to 4.5 days, not 5, right? I had the five full days timeline in my head, and I was expecting to have some time this afternoon to see if I wanted to push my scores any further, so I was surprised when I logged in and had my stash of rewards waiting for me.

Youā€™re right, it ended up being 4.5 days, not 5.

The original announcement had said 5:

Congratulations @zephyr1.

i was way below such good results 631k in rare, 760k in epic, 920k in legendary.

i think (maybe hope would be the better word) i have heroes and ressources to do better in coming events but i must admit iā€™m not sure how to achieve itā€¦

may i ask how you did it? can you provide some tipps?

Many reruns and worl energy use? many battle items used?
a kind of strategy?

i replayed a few stages to get better scores to at least obtain some flasks and troop coinsā€¦ but i didnā€™t manage to go up to the tiers with ascension matsā€¦ and i donā€™t know how i should prepare or approach it next timeā€¦

Kind regards,

Hermann

I followed this same approach again:

I even used the same teams as last month, other than some Troop/Emblem progress:

And for Legendary I used the same team as Epic, just with Azlar +0 swapped in for Colen.

Hmmm, not too scary with QoH and Hatter being bad on defense. I also watched full pirates team fight and they are definitely scarier together.

Anyone know how to beat the final stage of the Epic level of this challenge? Why is the Rare and the Legendary levels so easy on these challenges but the Epic is nearly impossible to beat? I have tried it 10x now and can not come anywhere close to beating it. Even running mono or 4-1 I just canā€™t seem to do hardly any damage to Hatter/Alice/White Rabbit even enough to fire arrows, bombs, and axes at them to take them down. Someone suggested using 3* troops but that doesnā€™t seem to matter. Any ideas? Itā€™s just so weird that it would be hard when Legendary is so easy.

Epic always seems to be more difficult than legendary.

Well, this is my fourth challenge event altogether, my third Rare win, my second Epic win and my first Legendary win. So from my observations with a very limited hero selection:

Emblems help a lot. My team for both Epic and Legendary was one and the same: cChao (17) - cBoldtusk (18) - Cyprian (18) - cKelile (14) - Sumle (17). Edit: I donā€™t have even a single 5* ascended, since I am vc2p and started in the end of October 2020. Except for Kelile, whose costume is far from maxed btw (only 2/2/4/2 % bonuses), all of the other heroes are maxed on the defense path. This really helps - heroes are much more resilient, thus this gives time to rearrange the board for the final fight.

With this team, Epic was much easier than Legendary, and I used bombs axes and dragon attacks. Kelile helped a lot with that burn damage, so did the Dragon attacks. But the real star of the event was Cyprian who inflicted tons of damage to the bosses. The important thing to note here is that he has to be timed precisely or rather, used in conjuction with a mana controller (like cChao) so that the Hatter doesnā€™t steal the Riposte buff (and accidentally Boldtuskā€™s attack boost).

I guess that with a 4-1 team that has a def down hero (be it elemental def down like Guardian Falcon or pure def down hero like Gormek or better, Wilbur) this fight would be much easier, with the correctly prepared board of course.

I had three 3-level 3* attack troops equipped on my red heroes, those indeed really helped. 2 level would probably also suffice since they have the same attack boost - 14%.

I actually saved some bombs on this fight, as well as a couple dragon attacks on the Legendary last fight, since with the help of cChao (and Time Stops on legendary) the bossesā€™ mana can be controlled, the fight prolonged enough so that more red tiles are eventually encountered for the win (and the burn damage adds slowly but surely).

So in conclusion: Emblems help a lot, no matter what heroes you use. But you still need to colorstack at least 3 strong of the chosen color. Just work on that board a lot before you engage the bosses.

I was running mono purple, but next time I will try mono red and see if I do any better. Thanks! As for emblems, only my A-rated 5 stars get emblems, anything else is a waste, and already have way more of them than emblems to go around.

Purple lacks key heroes in the 4* slot which red and green has. Like elemental debuffer, which purple has only at the 5* slot. I still think that embleming 4* is worth it, unless you are desperate to go for top 100 global or some other such nonsense. You can emblem way more 4* than 5* with the same amount of emblems, and a mono emblemed team of five each color 4* with good abilities will win you any epic challenge with ease.

Edit: To put it simply, purple lacks firepower at the 4* slot. Yes, it has great healers like cRigard or cSabina, but actual snipers are not so good. I guess you could apply the double Cyprian riposte tactic, this could hurt the bosses enough that the bombing afterwards kills them all. You have to be careful with the Hatter though.

Edit: If you are still reluctant to emblem random 4*, you could emblem a team of five cRigard, they are a worthy addition to many 5* all-star teams.
