No, you are not imo. Those on the top use up to 100 WE flasks and more, playing only perfect boards.
Judging by last events you need around 730k for top1000rare, 920k for top500epic and 1050k for top1000 leg. i made that observation the last 3 challenge events. Might be a bit lower for epic in that one, cause those bosses lv13-15 are hard to come by without the help of time stop and/or proteus power.

Auto play Rare
For rare tier, I am having a lot of fun on auto play with
Hisan 3*+1
Hisan 3*+1
Belith 3*+1
Gato 3*+1
Hawkmoon 3*+1
Gato protects the two healers from status ailments and both Hisan self cleanse.
Both Hisan prevent Owl from healing while Belith dispels Owl’s defense buff and Sand DOT ignores Owl’s high defense ( with and without buff ).

so you think reaching top1000 is only possible with massive WE use waiting for good boards?
i had the hope this is only necessary for top 100… i had the hope one could make 1000 with good heroes and items … without re-running over and over…

Argh, disappointing. It looks like my team isn’t even fit for epic, let alone legendary. Even with decent boards, I’m barely doing any damage so I have to continue hitting and hitting, which kills my combo, kills time, and there’s no way you can keep getting godly boards all the time…
looks like top 1000 for the 3 EHTs is impossible 
not sure if top 5000 for epic is possible, but, seems tough.

@zephyr1 doesn’t use flasks and manages to easily get top 1000/500/1000 all the time.

I used 12 flasks for that results, if i hadnt used them it wouldnt be much different since you can play event 5days. @zephyr1 and i nearly have the same scores/ranks for the last ones, always top1000-500-1000, without excessive WE use, so its possible. My 4 Namahage+18 make it a bit easier of course for rare one.

Changing the topic, seeing how my team isn’t good for epic/legendary, I’m now in a big dilemma about making some pulls. I wanted to save all of my gems/coins for JF/Telluria, and I already got Vela so it would suck to get a dup Vela, but, G. Falcon could potentially help me get 5 EHTs per month from epic and legendary challenge events, which adds up… and there’s always potential for other great HoTMs and/or new seasonal heroes to chase in the future…
What should I do? Try for G. Falcon or save for avalon?
Since you got Vela i would wait, Falcon is nice for green titans and red stacking (which i do in most challenge events, beside Grimforest). The 4stars of Teltoc are far better than those in Avalon on the other side, difficult. Best tip i can give you after playing for 16 months is being patient

Not sure how good/bad Kong + Falcon are. Are they useful?
Falcon is really really good for mono-stacking. He’s like the only 4 star hero I really want now.
Guardian Kong is not well liked and is one of the weaker 5 stars. But at least he’s a 5 star!

I have 80/110 roster and 2 Falcon, is it good to keep both? I would assume yes since he is an event hero… ?
But yeah at least Kong is 5* lol
He’s more rare than the gems to buy roster space

Got some nice heroes this time around, also it’s the first challenge where I have enough suitable 4* to complete the Epic stage - legs get those WE flasks for Atlantis!

I’d been saving up throughout Nov/Dec in anticipation of Guardians and did 40 pulls:
I do already have Jackal and Falcon, so Lianna, Owl, Vela and a few bats were new for me.
I would have really liked Chameleon, but getting Lianna did cheer me up a bit.

Done with Teltoc for this time around. Not interested in competing - just want the completion rewards and a few flasks from Epic and Legendary (not bothered with Rare as very few 3*s)
For the first time ever I just used the same team on every stage for both Epic and Legendary. Did have to use a few items on the last stage of legendary - mainly timestops as I didn’t bring Proteus.
A very lazy approach - but I have what I wanted and I have some time to do other things!
Not done any pulls yet. Not sure as I already have Jackal and Falcon ( and Vela)

I’m interested in your placement, particularly in legendary, given that you didn’t try to compete, but your team seems very well suited for competition, I was wondering how far a team can go with just the right heroes.

If so I am currently ranking about 50K in epic and 20K in legendary
But I really don’t try to compete … I just play it safe and take my time. So I never lost a stage and used only a very few items. I never replay a stage.
