Hi, some times I think my math level is not enough to follow you, maybe this is one of those times where my thinking is right, but, don’t you have your numbers wrong?

Actually the chance to get an emblem token is 100%, what vary is the multiplier, you either get one, two or three of the same, having 50% chance to get just one. What 1.7 means?

1.7 is the expected number of emblems, what you will get if you average enough tourneys at that tier.

3*.2+2*.3+1*.5=1.7 emblems on an average run. you will get 1, 2, or 3 on any real reward, not 1.7, but that is the long term average.

That is completely valid, but doing the same math on ascension item stars is more subtle/complicated/questionable because two awards of two emblems do make 4 emblems, while two tall boots don’t add up to one Damascus blade.

Ok here is my guestion Why are these tournament rewards including 1-3* “Ascension Items” correct me if I’m Wrong but are these items obtainable from fighting in practically any Provice (season1 or Season2) at any stage? Ever since the new content has come out. season2 to the Class content to now Raid Tournament (All great stuff) the reward system has become inundated with junk. This is causing game wide frustration. I see it in every in game chat, and I’ve seen it before in much bigger games (I played World of Warcraft from 2003-2014). First you limit were 4-5* Ascension Items can be found to mission rewards (ie. Monster, Hero, Elemental Titan and War chests) and then you set up the algorithm for these rewards to include items easily obtained in Provinces? Why? Within two months of playing most new players will only be using 1and 2* heros to train up their 3* heros within 6 months to a year those players will only have one team of 3s (if they keep any for the tiered Special Events, only if they even care about the Rare tier) So why frustrate long term players by inundating their only oppertunities to gain items to final ascend 4 heros and 2nd and final ascend 5* heros with stuff they can get anywhere?

I think the thought is that it would be “even worse” to receive nothing. So it gives you “something”, even though it’s not of particular value.

the item star isn’t the same as the hero they are used on, the 4-5* items you are talking about are actually 3-4* items in the gane

Mpolo, I can accept that line of thinking. However Peternp I can only feel you are either inadvertently or intentionally missing my point. Crafted items of any * lvl are acceptable loot. However with the addition of Class emblems and Atlantis coins we do not need items that can be easily obtained in any province battle being included in Wanted Missions, Titan Battles, Alliance Wars and Challenge Event’s loot were it’s sole purpose is to lower the percentage rate of obtaining items that can only be found in those rewards. Causing people to wait months to receive those items in order to improve their teams. Peterenp I found your response to be condescending, and an insult to anyone of average intelligence. I was merely asking that with the additional items needed by the new material why they would include “farmables” in special rewards.

If you understood that then I don’t get what you are complaining about. The reward tiers can payout non farmable mats in all but the lowest result tier

I don’t believe that is their sole purpose. I believe their purpose is to reward you with something instead of nothing when you don’t get lucky and roll a non-farmable item.

As and example… I would rather have a 20% chance of getting a non farmable item and an 80% chance of so called junk. Than a 20% chance of a non-farmable item and an 80% chance of absolutely nothing.

Yup. that’s how it works. 4* and 3* non-farmable mats are only findable in a few places, and almost all of them give you a chance of being stuck with farmable mats instead. (Happens often with titan loot, elemental chests, etc. They usually give you 2-3 of those items, and most of the time you get 0-1 non-farmable items.) The game is slow that way, and kinda frustrating.

You don’t have to like it…but don’t expect this new way of getting those mats to be different than the existing ones.
