Interesting, I was talking about his actual ability where he deals damage to all enemies if you kill said one in 3 turns, however, what is supposed to be a massive 1k hit didn’t even seem to take much of their health away?

Would you be able to make a video for us at all, please?

If anyone else also has a video of Rochefort in action nowadays that’d be great!

Sorry; it is unfortunately isn’t mine (it’s an attack from an old war) to share.

Not sure if this helps, but they were not able to trigger his secondary effect because Fungunstine survived an additional hit and then healed.

Also, he did die first after a hit by the yellow construct hero and then toon Marjana. So his defensive stats may also be of concern. At least against maxed new meta heroes.

I think I might just skip this after looking up videos on both lol - probably the first thing I should do from now on, neither look great now.

Bring on Perseus C for next time!

For anyone still considering him, I did find a war hit with the secondary effect triggered. It is over 1k at 90 and 20 emblems: 1089.

My issue is, let’s say he attacks a 3.5k HP hero, his initial is 1k, I then have to do 2.5k to kill them in 3 turns to trigger the attack, let’s add Carmenta in, say she does 750 damage, then I have to do 1.75k damage with my last 2 hitters as the other will be a healer, those 2 hitters are hit 3, they may or may not be able to finish them - this is of course without tile damage and not accounting for any defense up buffs they may or may not have so there is that, however, with no buffer - I’d have to rely on purple tiles to do the most damage which is totally RNG/board dependant, and on top of all that again, to actually be able to end a team - Carmenta has to be there, and she has to charge at the same time purple does.

It’s not a homerun just by bringing him

I’m either skipping or when it goes live my brain will do a u-turn and pick him.

Pick a 3/4 health target with Roch, and in my case, follow up with madhammer
pretty much game over or they’re on life support.

I gotta admit, I find it interesting from @Ufeel’s post about the current SE choices’ stats that Ulius, at 10 souls, actually has the highest Power rating.

I’m not under any illusions that “Power rating” equals “how powerful” but it does say something about reasonably respectable stats (notably, base survivability) at a bargain price, certainly.

Given Ulius’ mana manipulation
hm. Maybe.

This seems like a good list for Soul exchange
I don’t know why some people are complaining, honestly. At least, those are more recent, if we compare to the dinosaurs we got on previous exchanges. Of course, they can’t compare to today’s monsters, BUT some of them are fun and have something special about them
if we pair them well, they can be pretty good
isn’t that what old player miss the most recently ? Having to use strategy ? And having fun  (Well, when the puzzles are with us) I prefer those fights when I need to think a bit, instead of just firing once a very powerful hero then Game Over

In this list I already got :

  • Queen Guowang : Too flimsy to use in defense, but still relevant in offence. I like her, she hits hard and the mana boost is useful. Mostly used in wars and mono teams when I need to slap something hard.

  • Rochefort : He is good for sure, I don’t have Carmenta, but I like to use him with his Musketeers pals, for the family bonus (I’ve got the Cardinal and Queen Anne). I add Cecilia and a healer to the lot, and sometimes they get can get really hard to reach. This is fun.

  • Cel : I have this one since a long time, and I really like her as a tank. I know she is slow, but I pair her with heroes that boost her mana. She is quite beefy for her age and her survivability is still good, even after all this time. Her minions, are hard to take down. Sometimes I stack 3 of them and, if timed well, I become untouchable for a while. Yes, the minions destroyers can take her down, but
I don’t think she deserves all the hate she got since released. She is good in what she does. And I like her design.

For me, Recently I did a few pulls at harvest summon, and I was lucky enough to get Becky. I don’t have a lot of mats for purple heroes, and I have at least 2-3 more projects before her (Demilune, Voidstar, Gastille), but I plan to use her
someday. I know she is fun.

Finally

I’m lacking in green, so the obvious choice is Xandrella. I’m very happy to see her in this exchange. I like Constance and Ulius, too, but Xan will fit better in my roaster. Plus, I’ve wanted her since she got released.

Same and I am 90% set on picking him

That remaining 10% is if I decide to go all in and pick the 20 souls purple hero.

For a 5* hero I just wish his minions and fiends did slightly more inadition to the mana effect

I have Rochefort and if I’m running 3/2 I pair him with GP and Dreadstar. GP, Rochefort, Dreadstar going off usually means I win. Of course there are exceptions but I win more than I lose. I usually pair with something like C. Heimdall and Queen Anne. Just my 2 cents.

Would you recommend him at 20 souls even if one didn’t have the mats for him for a couple of months?

I’d pair him with Carmenta, probably 2 other purples being Acidfire, Hel C, or Shacklebolt - the healer is a tricky one in this setup, I doubt Hathor Costume on her own would be enough to save them all, and Cleopatra Costume doesn’t overheal apart from the 10% from passive.

Then again, maybe even Meg Giry in this setup would be good, making it so they can’t cleanse the status effect(s).

I looked quickly at past SEs in the first post - mana control seems to appear very rarely. Cupido is really the only true mana controller that I see, but maybe I looked too quickly and missed someone.

That makes me think of Xandrella for my roster. The only 5 star mana controller I have is Hel without costume.

Ugh though if Hel costume showed up in the next SE then I would be sad if I could not take her!

I have only participated in one SE before and took costume Athena, who is still great for my roster.

Edit: oops, I missed Hohenwerf and Bubbles. It still seems mana control is rare and usually costs 20

Xandrella is really fantastic. I have mine lb2 and use her very regularly, including in tower events amd challenge events. Mob waves that are blue, are nice, so she hits all of them (and you dont have to target a specific one).

I really don’t think you can go wrong with her, especially on offense.

I’ve been warming up to xandrella her stats is what makes me hesitate.

(insert soul exchange hero), spark light, nautica, madhammer, fizzcoil. With this formation and nautica at tank who would you take between Rochefort and xandrella?

Xandrella could be great to “trick” people to bring blues to kill my two beefy reds but will she be sturdy enough tucked in a corner? I do have moonflower and quinglong but no really amazing hitter in green, nor mana controller in green.

Rochefort, because he can end my fights in theory even faster and has better up to date stats? Bastet, Umbria, and Ludwig are my best purples.

My dilemma but a good one to have

After much deliberation I have given up my desire for the Red fart boy, mainly because I will eventually level Violet when I get the remaining 5 tabards. She is way better than him apart from the speed.
So it is a toss between Ulius and Xandrella. Blue is relatively strong as I have all the blue toons, blue Goblins, CAlaise and Milena.
I am leaning towards Xan at this point as green is relatively weak for me and I can use her along with Smarttongue and Toon Elkanen. Smart tongue can increase the SS damage on targets and these 2 can do a 1-2 punch and if there are any blues I dont hit they can go mindless while i focus on other cards. Xan can also go to LB2 in 3 months when I get enough AA.

Soulwarden - One consideration is which is more difficult to get? Mats or heroes? Tabbards do come around somewhat predictably but I think much harder to get a hero later without spending a fortune.
Go for one you think you’ll enjoy playing. No matter what you take it’ll be some time before fully leveling anyway.

I mean, true - the other thing is Khepri and Lu Bu are in the purple queue so they’d get pushed back again

I don’t dislike his first skill because i use him on slow heavy teams where any help is appreciated. You can get better mana generation after 2 blue matches, but the fiends are the real prize, they were the strongest and most durable fiends in the game when he came out, and that wasn’t that long ago, and you definitely notice their mana cut. I do think Rocheford is better, but not by a ton. I love ninjas and wizards anyway because they are so versitile in how they function.

Wondering if I use C.Panther - Rochefort - Toon Sartana / Deadboot / Voidstar will it be a deadly combo in the recent days?

I am looking for a stable team that could still work well in the recent climate.
