@PlayForFun, do you think you can get a soft hint from staff with respect to Styx troops? I mean, something broad like whether Styx troops are likely to be available again sometime on 2024?
It is getting confusing to manage my resources when being uncertain even in such a rough level.
This is a fair request. A lot of players are sitting on a ton of Troop Tokens and it would be the courteous thing to let us know if there will EVER be a Styx or magic tower.
Tough to get excited about the legendary troops the game is peddling when we can’t maximize or token to give us food to max them out.
Yup. Or at least offer an option to convert ETTs to LT tokens, if both Magic n Styx towers are on hiatus till Zynga gets to making costumes for them.

Why don’t you continue to run summons for Ninja, Magic and Styx as you always have, or (at least) put a note on ETT offers in the shop, goblin balloon, mystic vision etc. that you’ve withdrawn options to practically use the tokens?
The troop tokens are no longer “epic” in the way that their seasonally enabled, heroic counterparts continue to be.
Please honestly announce changes to a wide audience and not just leave it to rare, mid-thread comments within lengthy discussions. It comes across, at least to me, as extremely disingenuous. You announce the arrival of developments, such as of ninja, magic, and styx troops, with great fanfare and withdraw them with just obscure, mid thread posts.

My apologies, it just seems that the troop summons, that SGG presented with fanfare, have disappeared with no noticeable notice.
Sure. If you scroll a few messages earlier (January 24th) you can see we share quite a similar opinion.
I think that the important thing, in context when SGG has done the dirty on players by withdrawing access to options that it had set up for use of tokens, is that we keep the issue alive. It’s a hot mess. SGG are reported to have promised options for the use of ETTs. Let’s just level up the troops that we already have while waiting for them to deliver.
I had planned on some unrelated purchases in the future, but certainly won’t continue with those plans while this issue is unresolved.

It will be back when they’ve come up with new Styx heroes. Just like they did with the Magic Tower. In the meantime they’ll flog the Owl Tower a bit more.
They want people to spend on legendary troops. (Obtaining and leveling.)
Can’t have anything to distract from this.
They did wait 3 months after 5* troops launched before giving us a chance at styx and magic troops… So… If people needed troops, they had to get only a 10% rate.

Yes, and let’s also see when Zynga announces it. The thing that annoys me most is the lack of information.
The company first announced Ninja, Magic and Styx troops with great fanfare, and ended their appearance without comment. Just give us dates / proposed scheduling. We can handle the rest. You would be giving us things to game with.

Magic troops never entered beta. Tower and first tranche of heroes yes. Despite repeated requests for confirmation on troops. Mod asked too. No reply.
Those troops magically appeared with the Tower, to a huge outcry from players, some of whom had used up their ETTs.
Yes, Zynga’s communication preferences could improve, at least reach the bare minimum expected from a public listed entity. I would peg their current communication preferences at “mom ‘n pop store” levels: begrudgingly made when it cannot be avoided, or made “promptly” when they bother to make time.
That’s charitable. An in store mom and pop may well be chatty and informative about the thing they’re directly invested in.
In the case of SGG, I suspect that some staff are temporary and working to for short term profits and credit before jumping to a new company.
