Mana Speed Issue in Rush Attack War

Our alliance had several examples in the last war (Rush Attack) in which heroes of the defensive were charged after 5,5 mana units (MU) instead of 6.
We noticed this in particular with Mother North and Alfrike. With a maxed mana troop (+15%) and the mana talent (+2%), these heroes are charged after 5,56 MU (6,5/1,17). How can it be that these heroes are charged after 5,5 MU (e.g. 3 rounds + 5 hits)?
