Leveling Strategies - What makes the most sense?

Bottom line - should you finish a hero and then move on, or drop down for an easier and welcome hero?

I have a lot of unfinished heroes

I prioritize by my current needs

Loot

Which will get me more loot quicker ( see notes )

Example

Level Wu Kong as soon as you get Wu Kong unless you already have a 5* 4.80+ Mega Damage Multiplier

Gaps

Which will fill a gap quicker

Example

I stopped Caedmon at 4* 3.60 because I prefer Melendor zero damage dispell versus counter attack

But I stopped my second costume Brienne when I got Caedmon’s costume because the costume gives me a fast 4* green cleanse

Miki/ Tarlak/ Ranvir/ Wu Kong can help you get loot to level other heroes including your raid, and war, defense team

Attack versus defense

The majority of loot in Empires is from attacking ( Titans, Rare Quests, Class quests, Limit Breaker quests, Challenge events, AR, VF, etc. )

A strong Raid defense is primarily to prevent wasting raid energy climbing back into Platinum/ Diamond to open a Wanted Raid Chest

A strong war defense is more important than a strong war attacker, since you only need 1x defender to 6x attackers, but a strong war attacker that is also a strong titan / quest / farming attacker will get more loot in the long run

Synergistic heroes

Normal Squad Construction applies. So try getting as many of the following into your squad (ON COLOUR is best):

• Attack Boost (e.g. Boldtusk or Ares)

• Defence Down (e.g Grimm or Tiburtus – Athena / Costume Brienne are the best)

• Extreme Damage Booster (e.g. Miki, Tarlak, Ranvir, Guardian Gazelle or Wu Kong)

• Elemental Defence Down (e.g. Guardian Panther, Frida, Nordri, Almur, Evelyn etc…)

• High Attack Stat heroes… More attack = more tile damage = more win.

Power leveling

Name= Level 1*

The five different colored heroes I am same color leveling using 1* heroes ( levelees )

Usually costumes, or

heroes I am testing at 4* 3.60, 5* 2.60 and 5* 3.70 before spending non farmable 3* / 4* ascension items

This also includes my troops of each color I am currently leveling, so easy to find when changing teams or using Barracks ( see Barracks in above see also section )
