Who should I go with first, Mitsuko or Khagan? It would figure my first 5* reds would be a slow one and one that’s completely situational. Thanks in advance all!
I feel that you’ll get more long-term usage out of Mitsuko, she’s a solid tank.

I have the same choice to make, hoping to refresh the conversation post Khagan’s improvement. I am leaning towards Mitsuko.
Without a doubt, mitsuko. Shes tanky, kills blues and greens, reduces mana… I love her

Khagan works well at 3/70 for offense.

Mitsuko is also the best Sorcerer so she would become a 5*+something hero while Khagan would likely stop at 4.80

Mitsy is solid. She’s worth the rings. Good tank and good for offence as well. Works great with falcon if you have him.

Mitsuko is like having an extra attacker when you have blue corner hitters, or even average to slow blue hitters on flank. My fave raid is against yellow tanks and blue flanks with Rigard Khiona Proteus Mitsuko BT. Very effective
I don’t have Khagan, but he has become more dangerous since the buff; still my vote (fairly obviously) would be for Mitsuko

Reflection against the strong color is awesome. Once casted, your blue stack against her becomes a deadly joke and forces you to bring reds instead and dispellers.
A tanked Khagan will be simply killed by blues and works better on flank beside a green tank. Do you have a green tank? He’s a supporter and works on tier 3 as well.

And regarding dispellers, the most commonly available are green (Melendor and Caedmon) which is weak on red
Does anyone know if the reflect kills Sonya, does she still debuff? She is fairly widely available also

Only Kageburado, Sabina and Melendor will dispel without getting hurt. All the others would suffer before removing the buff.

Thanks for the great responses. Not sure why I didn’t see any notification. Currently my L-R is Kiril, Eve, Wilbur, Hansel, and Proteus. Prior to making Wilbur and getting him level 7 on the talent grid I had Mitsuko at tank and loved that lineup. Mitsuko would move Wilbur to a bad ■■■ second line tank.
Yup, my ranger emblems go to Eve. Have not used sorcerer emblems yet.

Generally the reflect doesn’t kill sonya, since sonya doesn’t hit that hard (so not a ton of damage reflected)… if she’s lower on health, it certainly can though. Also, yes, sonya does dispel mits’ reflect, as would Frida, although Frida would likely commit suicide to dispel.

I have both Khagan and Mitsuko maxed, although Khagan is just at 4-80, while Mitsuko has 3 levels on the talent grid with a 4th level likely very soon. Mitsuko is definitely overall a better hero, and she was the first 5* hero that I maxed. I happened to pick up two Mitsuko when she first became available, and even an unmaxed Mitsuko can be useful in a war battle in which the other team has lost some heroes and has a blue hero left with an offensive special. Even at level 1-1 and her special at 1/8, the blue reflect aspect of her special is just as damaging, and perhaps more so, compared to a fully maxed Mitsuko.
I frequently use Mitsuko in combination with Inari when raiding (who I fortunately picked up at the second Atlantis Inari summon opportunity), which provides a 2% mana gain Sakura bonus (again, something that isn’t a possibility with Khagan), and coupled with at least level 17 4* attack troops, this allows both Mitsuko and Inari to fill their mana with 9 tiles instead of 10, which can be extremely helpful. When both Mitsuko and Inari are on your raid team, however, it can be important to time the specials, since you ideally only want Mitsuko’s buff to be active when the opposing team’s blue offensive heroes’ specials go off. If Inari’s dodge buff goes off instead, while you do get a Sakura fox minion, and those are definitely helpful, it’s generally preferable to take out the blue heroes using Mitsuko’s buff.
Frida, Isarnia, Richard, Thorne, King Arthur, Athena, Alasie, Alice (I think–haven’t fought her that much), and Grimm almost always self-destruct in one hit that is reflected with Mitsuko’s buff. Magni, Misandra, Perseus, and Master Lepus frequently barely survive the first reflect.
I use Mitsuko as my raid defense team tank (along with Inari on flank), but Mitsuko as tank will still easily go down against a blue stack. I just fought a raid against the following team of fully maxed 5*s with emblem level in parentheses: Evelyn (6!), Frida (3), Mitsuko (3), Lianna (0), and Alice (3). I used a blue stack with Athena (4), Triton, Kiril, Inari (4), and Mitsuko (3) and had no problem defeating the team. You’d think, after using Mitsuko for months that I would know not to use Triton’s special when Mitsuko’s buff is active, but sure enough, I wasn’t paying attention and used it against Mitsuko–it was reflected, but I guess Triton didn’t hit that hard against her, because it barely did any reflect damage 
. Then I was smart enough to hold Athena’s special till after the buff ran out, and I ended the match with only one dead hero, Inari. Mitsuko is a decent tank, but I think she is much better on offense than defense.
All that being said, when I go up against blue tanks, I almost never bring Mitsuko and instead use a green 3tack.

Thanks for all of the replies everyone! Unfortunately I didn’t receive any notifications and I thought this thread was dead. Yes mitsuko wound up being my choice gwen tank with Queen of hearts and mitsuko flanks is definitely a nasty combo!
Thought I’d revive this thread since Mitsuko and Evelyn are available in the Atlantis Summon this month, November 2019. I already have Evelyn soooooo… I’m pulling for Mitsuko!
I think She will pair well with BT +4 and Anzogh +3 or maybe G Falcon 4/70. And putting her with blue (if I understand you correctly) I’d add Kiril 4/70 and Triton 4/70. Or should I put in Grimm +2? Oh…no…maybe Sonya +20 and/or Frida 4/80? Do I need a healer in there?
Based on what everyone’s said in this thread, Mitsuko sounds like a good bet. Glad I found it and thanks for all the info. 
EDIT: Kaghan deals so much more damage though (320%s dmg to target and near enemies versus Mitsuko’s 245% dmg to target and near enemies), plus his +24% mana gen and +63% defense. Why would Mitsuko surpass him?

Mitz is far from situational.
Mana cut is golden; blue reflect is one of the most useful skills in the game (put her against Finley, for example); far tankier.
It’s not even close. Mitz is a top tier hero. Khagan is meh at best.
