My heavy hitter in my A team is Sabina, but she was disqualified from the game, so my dark lady is Prisca for now. Why is Sabina barred?

You can only use certain heroes and troops per level:

Beginner Event
3* Heroes
2* Troops

Intermediate
4* Heroes
3* Troops

Advanced
5* Heroes
4* Troops

I’m guessing you are trying Beginner Event, as Prisca is 3* and Sabina is 4*.
