I’m pretty certain the Sand Empire is a two week event (Monday thru Sunday) and that Tavern of Legends starts on 2020-07-23T07:00:00Z based on the post below, but I will confirm.

Event Schedule Changes (Version 30 Onwards)

As we have and will be adding new and exciting Events and features, we must rearrange our monthly Event schedule. The schedule changes are as follows: All recurring Events start on Monday or Thursday, and they are scheduled to start and end at 07:00 AM UTC. Valhalla (Season 3) Event will be now 12 hours longer, starting on Thursday and ending on Monday. Challenge Events will be 12 hours shorter, starting on Thursday instead of Wednesday.
