Jana’s 2nd hit

Was testing Jana with a Ludwig/taunt. Her first hit does 470% damage and -44% defense down. She then does a 2nd random hit. When a taunt is up the 2nd hit goes to the taunt hero, Ludwig in this case. If the 1st hit does -44% DD then why would the 2nd hit be the exact same amount as in this screen shot? You can see both hits are practically equal. Shouldn’t the DD give a 2nd hit a lot more fire power?

Looks very strange, should be much more damaging in the second.
Looks like DD doesn’t work at all?

Maybe the game is applying both ailments at the same time after the damages as normally (without Taunt or a single enemy left) the targets are different enemies.

Hmmm…. If we read the special in order, it’s hit 1st target, apply DD to 1st target. Then hit random 2nd target and apply reduce mana gen to 2nd target.

So maybe special is not working as intended. Or card is not written as intended?

Seems like it is poorly written… But i presumed def down is applied after the respective hits.

I confirmed this bug. Hitting Phorcy while he has activated taunt, the damage of first and second hit was very similar.
The DD is not activated as is should since it is written before the second shot.

Does this also happens with the last enemy in a raid or the last monster in a wave? If you fire Jana on the last opponent enemy, both hits should go to that enemy (given that enemy doesn’t die with the first hit). Then both damage numbers should not be very similar (second one higher than first one).

It’s strange as I tested it and the two hits aren’t exactly the same damage, but rather 10-20 damage more on the second hit. If there was no DD then wouldn’t the damage be exactly the same on both hits? Unless the DD calculation is off, since -44% DD should definitely have more of an impact than that :thinking:

Totally normal (could also be less) if the DD isn’t applied because damage calculation has a tiny part of randomness so both hits with the same attack and defense stats for the attacker and defender respectively will get a somewhat and approximately equivalent amount of damage, but not exactly equal.

The randomness explains the slight different damage, but it is obvious that DD doesn’t work.

Also strange that we have no response from the staff yet. Is this a bug or how they explain this?

Okay thanks for explaining, I wasn’t aware of this! Well guess it’s definitely a bug then, because we know how important the order of specials is in this game. Thanks for clarifying :grinning:

I’m cautiously optimistic that they will own and fix the error where the dd after hit 1 isn’t applied otherwise hit 2 would completely wreck which clearly did not happen in your example vs. Lb2 taunt Ludwig.

In the meantime Jana sits at 3.70 waiting for good news🤞

Currently Jana is not enough to kill the taunt and hence one of argument I had, to use her as alpha taunt is gone.
Mine Jana is at 4.85 +19 and it seldom kill the taunt.
