It happens quite a bit. One tournament I was only hit once during the whole thang?

Narrowly lost the 4th fight of day 2ā¦ Was buddy (+0) vs. caedmon (+20)ā¦ he just edged me out 
damned fast mana vs. average 
Overall am 9/10 on attack.
Interestingly I saw 2x Costumed Skittleskulls today! Lot more costumes/ costume bonuses starting to appear now. (CB = Costume Bonus).
Defence
Still maintaining the A-Grade. Buddy is a weapon it seems

Continuing my strategy I used 4-1 (greens with Proteus) 3 times and mono blue snipers twice. Only the last battle was hard because of an off-color tank but bringing non-emblemed guys against +20-s is suicide. 10-0.
On defense an unfortunate loss in the last minute brought me down to B for Day 1 but since then my team is on a roll. 9-1 today for a combined 12-4 performance.

Day 2.
Offense: had a few rough fights but managed to pilot myself undefeated in the end. 5-0, total of 9-1 thus far. Top 5% for now.
Defense: my lofty C grade dipped to a D by days end and stayed there.

I won 4, bringing me to 9-1.
My loss was a bit of a frustrating run-in with RNG against this team:
Kelile dodged 3 Special Skills fired at her, which is pretty much entirely what ended up costing me the match, as it meant I both took more damage, and lacked space to work the board without charging enemies.
With a 20% chance to proc, three dodges in a row is only a 0.8% chance ā so 1 in 125. Thatās plenty common enough to not be at all surprising, but considerably lower odds than pulling a HOTM in a single pull. So Iāll take my Vela on my next pull now, thanks. 
My takeaway from the experience is that itās worth being cautious about targeting Rogues ā I might have won if I had taken out other enemies earlier instead.
Having wasted a lot of firepower on missed hits, in the end I only managed to kill Tiburtus and Sonya, though Kelile was very nearly dead too from tiles.
Defense
Iāve continued to be attacked nonstop, and can no longer even vaguely keep track of the total count.
Iām currently at a 65.1% win rate, and an A Defense Grade again.
Ranking
Despite my run-in with Kelile, Iām still in the Top 1%.

Second day was not much better than the firstā¦again a loss. Tough tournament! Maybe I should have put Agwe on def, too - hey, he has 4 emblem nodes

day 2, I almost lost to a team with Rigard, Boldtusk and Kiril.
And my defense is 1-4, I didnāt think my defense team was that badā¦
Proteus+6, Buddy, Boril+14, HuTao+19, Kelile+5 is this really that bad?
Agwe is underestimated imo, an average hit all hero with high attack, hits as hard as kiss tibs and harder than Li, faster than skittle and colen. But he needs protection, cause heās soft, Wilbur can do that

I use him for 8-7 farming. And sometimes in wars, but really seldom now with all the other blues like Triton etc.

I think you have been somewhat unlucky but I donāt rate Riposte in bloody battle.
I donāt rate Boril for this format either seeing as green has some of the best snipers at the 4* level, one of which is a dispeller. Probably would have fared better with Hu Tao or buddy at tank and an extra sniper in stead of Boril. Buddy is probabaly one of the best tanks at 4* level and purple is really lacking on fast hitters at the 4* level so yellow tanks are a great shout. Riposte without heal is also not as good as with heal.
Day 3.

I think I should accept that this tournament, the chips didnāt fall in my favor, and thatās okay. It doesnāt mean Iām any less of a person, just was bad luck out of my control. Though I suspect Merlin on my defense isnāt helping, but too late to change that now.
Offense 4-1. Had one fight where I was all smug about the enemy Wilbur. He was almost dead, and I had Viking Sonya ready to fire. I wasnāt worried at all.
Proceeds to get Sonya slammed by Chao, Merlin, and slash attacks until sheās face first in the dirt without any on-color tiles in sight.
Oddly enough thatās not the one I lost. It was one where my board chained into every color I didnāt have and cascaded so the enemy defense was able to fire multiple timesā¦ though making a blue match while Gretelās debuff was active on Sonya, killing her, certainly didnāt help things.
Top 5%. I suppose it could be worse.
Defense: D again. Meh.

Ha ha haā¦ if thatās how you feel at 5%, you should try living in my shoes (at the 50-75% region most weeks) for a while.

The perspective is appreciated. Thatās about where I landed in last weekās 5* rush attack.
After yesterdayās absolute fiasco I started to analyze the mistakes which I could had made to end like the witch in Hensel&Gretelā¦burn baby burn Colen&Kelile infernoā¦

3 losses all together now after day 3, my def holds a poor A, 1 defeat away from B.
Just barely top 5% so far.
Very tough battles against +100.
