Thatā€™s right. All other things are simply too much.

The tournaments were so refreshing for me that it is the best part of the game for me, now. It is a competitive way of challenging others. I like that a lotā€¦ instead of all new buildings (what you mentioned, too) or the stupid tavern.

Another point is the stress factor of completing everything which is a lot of time cause every other day there is a new event approaching. Itā€™s hard this time. Less free time. And that is the main cause for quitting the game. You have to be patient. Like all the time.

Iā€™m getting close to quitting myself. Disappointment and puzzles is not much fun.

Yup just be patient and toss em another 100 for advancementā€¦gets old

To add something: The summon odds have never been a cause for me quitting the game. For me it is a big part of the game. Try to avoid overspending (or only use the free summons or your hard earned gems) and the summons will be a fine addition.

To be really honest. I find it interesting that you @Petri are quick to respond to this type of thing in the forum, but when asked direct questions (I have asked 2 recently) it doesnā€™t prompt any reply. Out of sheer curiosity why is that?

Yea i donā€™t overspend typically

But at the same time, the odds could be improved and putting s1 heroes in every single portal with no other way of getting s2, s3, event heroes, etc outside their given portals is a giant pile of bs

And the problem with free summons is how little they are and how hard they are to come by for no reason at all other than just greed.

If itā€™s possible to make money without suckin their customers dry, they should and itā€™s very doable

I originally started playing E&P as a diversion from RL to unwind a bit during or at the end of the day. When I first started I could log on once or twice a day and complete all the then-available content, grind away and improve at a slow but steady pace.

Now there has been so much new content introduced I find myself logging on 5-6 times a day just to try to keep up. I used to finish all the available quests no matter what they were. Now the lower level ones are ignored unless they have gems or recruits. The game for me has become too involved for a casual diversion that it originally was intended to be for me. And I still improve at the same slow but steady pace despite the more intense involvement.

Earlier this year I was having second thoughts about continuing to play myself as it seemed at the time despite the increase in intensity in the game my progress had actually slowed and almost stopped. Now it has picked up a bit again but ā€¦ who knows about the future?

There are so many QOL improvements that would help make the game far more enjoyable. I hate autoplaying grinding lower levels, it is tedious and distracts me from whatever else it is I am trying to get finished. I hate the hero roster layout, constantly searching the entire list for heroes when feeding.

So, staff turns berserk when they defend their game to their competitors
But when comes to improvement of the game they acting like three monkeys (plus the money loving monkey)

A game that is easier to win the lottery than to get a decent 5 * hero. And if the difficulty of obtaining a 5 * was not enough, when you do the miracle of winning it, you cannot use it because it is easier to win the lottery TWO times to get the 4 * ascension items. Not to mention that a huge number of items are needed for each element and are FIVE elements, where SGG has the head to make these items so difficult that a very high number is needed to be able to ascend a single hero? This discourages too much.

The last question was about improving SG communications in the forum. Even things like a monthly calendar of events. Just asked what the future comms strategy was going to be ā€¦ no reply as yet

I love playing this game but about the money grab it is scary, they make the offer for tavern of legends, i got lured and spent my 100bucks and 30 3* heroes come by. Things like these that would make me wanna Quit spending. Not quit the game. But j would not be playing if i was FTP, i could not stand having to play eith Hu-Taos and Atomos (every ftp got him lol)

Hero Academy the greatest useless feature in the game. I wish SG was more customer friendly. Trading would bring back old time players and brong life vack to the game.

Truth be told i think this is exactly like a casino, and we dont have casinos in Brazil, so i got mine in my phone and i play every day? Am i addicted to gambling??? Lol
But this is gambling in my opinion.

Raiding @Rigs With mono is gambiling
Summoning is gambling
Challenge events is a great gamble but requires a lot of technique (for Those of u who say it is easy just reroll, try the the top 100 and when u place 150th and dont make it come argue with me again)

But i wish our incentives were TRUE incentives.

2+ years to level HA to reach where it leads is a joke, AL is pretty useless and hasnt ben explored as expected, trading has never been addressed.
Summons are still the greatest troubles in the game IMO, how can i summon expecting to reach 0.1% luck?? It is nonsense, and knowing i have a BIG probability which always seems to happen is to land the crappy hero u did not want, like landing Atomos instead of Gravemaker in Atlantis, or receiving Thorne instead of the ā€˜hugeā€™ pool in Tavern of Legenda.

Well i hope they allow trading or allow us to exchange 1-2-3-4-5 heroes of our choice for 1 hero of our CHOICE and not base ourselves on the seeds of randomness.

And i do not believe in randomness in this game anymore. There is a way to exploit the randomness here.

I do not plan or even think about leaving but i do wanna cut spending. Tough swallowing Telluria like heroes coming out now. We all know the powercreep rollercoaster is just getting deeper.

I have to see that it is hard for devs to figure how to make things ā€œfresh and newā€ when game core mechanics is quite limited (match-3 game), and they surely try to make the game interesting for everyone, experienced or not.

But, even if I understand this, there were a lot of policies decisions that were too focused on money grab. It is understandable that devs will focus on making the best profit possible from their work. But some decisions (expecially some one made in past) were a bit unfair (like constatly diminishing prizes from several events, starting from lowering prizes on mystic vision) and they stopped this process of lowering-down-prizes slowly when the players started to complain.

Again:

  • developing AL that was ā€œicto-oculiā€ crap (combining 10.000 Alk when first alchemy step produced 2 was something that, no offense, is absurd and foolish. So reducing to 1000 is mandatoryā€¦ but that means they have a blank-pass to diminish also prizes from Alk? I think not)
  • Waiting more than 500 days for HA after purposal and adding it into the beta rightly after a player pointer that almost 2 years passedā€¦ it is not a coincidence.
  • Dev staff should have more direct approach with discussion ā†’ that has not be @Petri but there should be a staff member that could give more feedbacks to questions and devs point of viewā€¦ or players could start to have a bad thinking of your overall policies, like this example:

(see also the replies)

Please donā€™t read this as accuses, but they are surely facts that are not helping player trusting in dev staff.

Exactly one of the most huge issue.

NOTE:
someone said that the best thing improved until now were s3, emblems and costumes. About the last 2 I am not sure they are improvements. That is why

  • Costumes improves the difference of classic heroes from other ones (counting costumed hero) and making s1 even less valuable (and s)
  • Emblems has a nice pro and a HUGE con:
    • pro: emblem 4* can compete better to non-emblemed 5*
    • con: emblem 5* make 4* almost useless and too weak for having a chance on strategy work to fill the gap

People come and go. No game can keep players forever. This one is not the exception.

On the other hand, I have a feeling that game developers took an easy path of copy/pasting summon portals with dedicated coins. This results in an increased gap between p2w and the others plus an overpopulation of unascended heroes. Plus long term players have big number of maxed 3 and 4* heroes that they hardly can use.
This definitely needs some balancing. There were good ideas on the forum already.

My problem with this game is lack of late game/end game content. I stick around by the promises of new challenges, but every new content gets balanced out to be managed by everyone. But in a game where every power comes from a roster, if a player with 30 maxed 3s, 20 4s and 5 5s can finish every challenge, then whatā€™s there to challenge a guy with 30 maxed 5s and about every 4 and 3 in the game worth maxing. If I could now give an advice to intermediate player about how to play to progress quicker - Iā€™d just say donā€™t chase it bro, itā€™s not worth it, just enjoy the challenge while it lasts. Autofarming new S3 levels is nowhere close to the fun I had when I was first time finishing Atlantis. All those shiny heroes I pulled for and worked on only brought me boredom.

The only late game content we have is not reaally rewarding after allā€¦ I get to roll the dice 4 times after every titan, but even if I score the epic ascension mat, it only gives me chance to ascend yet another hero which I probably wonā€™t even need.

Motivating players by power creep was weak. It only brought staleness to PVP which used to be the last place where you could try yourself against new challenges according to your levelā€¦ well not anymore, experimenting with defenses was murdered so offensively it gets about as repetitive as filling the monster chests. And strong heroes only brought more RNG board dependency to the surface.

So yeah, I did see few players quitting recentlyā€¦ but if they were ā€˜quitingā€™ because of a frustrating streak of bad pulls or lack of ascension mats, many of them came back some time after. But more and more are quitting because the game just gets too repetitive and boring, and the only real challenge weā€™re left with is put some money and roll the wheel then pull a hero you may not even need or use and thatā€™s about as exciting as it gets nowadays.

As I said multiple times before, we need new and scalable content to use the heroes we already have, and not new portals to keep getting new ones.

@rigs itā€™s funny how over a weekend of furious (and predicted) posts about the Tavern money grab, there wasnā€™t a single staff response. However post the name of another game and theyā€™re on like a shot
