It’s a pain with S1, since the WE cost changes in the middle of provinces. I can give a brief summary though:

Most ascension mats per WE: Season 4 (normal mode), provinces 9 & 10, at 1.333
Most craft mats per WE: Season 4 (normal mode), province 10, at 1.7

In other words, S4-P10(N) is best for mat farming, outside of AR/VF.

I’ll note that S4-P8(H) is not far off, and is significantly better for ham farming… (although in general, I consider map farming for ham to be a fool’s errand, it can certainly be used as a good tie-breaker)

Edit: I finally added a World Energy column now too. But it doesn’t account for all the little quirks of S1, nor does it account for the last stage in each season being one extra WE.

There’s a spreadsheet that tells you just how many recruits you get per map location and so far it’s been accurate… (I saved the link from a post in here, not my spreadsheet.). It also tells you the overall number of items you will get, but doesn’t break down the types of items beyond knowing what the game says will come at a higher rate for that province.

It also has best farming based on XP/We, various monsters/elements/WE.

Goal I wanted to figure out which stages have the most monsters in Season 4 to increase efficiency when farming during Tremors of Underwild. Highest monster levels 5-10 and 6-10 are the highest monster count stages I came across.
