Increasing discussant skill of a maxed hero

Is it a new feature that you can level up just the special skill of a max ascended hero? I don’t remember this being possible before. Maybe I’m just very unobservant!!

How does this work though? Do you just have to throw other heroes at it and hope for the best?

You’ve always been able to keep leveling a special after a hero was max. Now though, whatever % they gave before is 5x the value when a hero is max.
