I noticed the same thing some time back.
Baldur is extremely inconsistent in his behavior, sometimes he behaves like special skill sometimes like status effect.
And it’s always the worse.
Whenever he behaves like a status effect it’s to his disadvantage (cleaned during equalizer war, blocked by mist, no mana in towers)
Same when he behaves like special skill (can be dodged, evaded, taunted, gets reduced by active protection against special skill damage)
