It’s between gravemaker C, el duque and GK costume. I tend to miss things, which is why I love running this stuff by everyone here. Here’s my take though.
El Duque seems like the least useful and least impactful of the 3. Maybe I’m not seeing his usefulness though.
I have been wanting to level gravemaker C for months. But everytime I try, I get a better hero, octros, then asterius and recently lewena. With all the new heroes coming out, I don’t know how useful gravemaker is anymore even with costume.
Which leaves GK. My biggest issue with him is his insanely low defensive stat. However, of the 3, he is the strongest and he dispels. On paper he seems like the right choice, but man I want to play with gravemaker.
I completely understand where you’re coming from. My issue is that he has to fire a few times for the stacks to really matter imho. For titans, I think he will be nasty. But in pvp, I doubt you’ll ever hit his max stack. So is his skill being “wasted” a bit? Plus the minor damage to nearby isn’t ideal. I’ll say this, if he gave full damage to 3, this decision would be much easier.
But I will consider what you said. I may try messing with him on map stages just to get an idea of how high I can get the stacks. That’s the biggest factor for me. Thanks for checking this out.
personally I think Kong gives the biggest impact, that is gives some useful effects. Gravey is nice of course, but it looks like Kong will fill a nice niche.
(though I do not think you could really go wrong with either)
as an aside, this is the first time I’ve seen Kong’s card closeup, and boy is he scary. I always had this image of him being Donkey Kong-lite with his big hammer… now I’m gonna see him in a new light and hope he doesn’t show up in my nightmares lol

IMO, GM or Kong would be solid options. Yeah, Kong may not have the greatest defenses, but he hits hard and can reflect Blue, which the obly other one is Mitsuko. Kong also dispels, which is nice. GM is GM. Either way, both are really good. As we do have Soul Exchange coming up in less than 48hrs, I’d wait and see what it has to offer before you make the final decision.
Agreed on what fits best should be priority. However, I was curious how people feel about these heroes in a vacuum. I had posted a while back asking about my reds as well. Everyone suggested I level asterius and I didn’t expect that. So I levelled him, he’s absolutely amazing. Same as now, I wanted to do GM. But I was persuaded otherwise and it really helped my game, offense and defense. Everyone here is awesome!
My preference is speed so VF first. El Duque and GM together on offense would be nice. Voted for Kong because he does a lot and I could imagine so many uses. Love setting up defenses into a trap. I only have the regular version and not finished. Good luck on whatever you decide!
No regrets ever… so you can guess where my vote went.
Pair with wilbur and boldtuskand the right mana troops and they will all go off in 9 tiles. And when Kong does his smash he does around 8-900 damage to all.
Awesome options for red ascension. Not knowing your roster I would recommend the ascension to the hero that you have surplus emblems to path. No point in picking a hero when you are short the emblems. El Duque is impressive and not to be under estimated. Great luck!
