Grazul is an awesome utility hero for raid offense. She is often dismissed because her heal is 15% and status immunity buff lasts for 2 turns. Of course once you see how to take advantage of her very fast SS speed, this changes things.
Offensively oriented utility heroes are difficult to see in action unless someone records a video. Here are three typical raids where Grazul has made a big difference in the outcome of the raid. If you can get Grazul charged up before the defenders fire, you can pick and choose which defender to dump tiles into. If it is a debuff heavy hero, this is almost as good as freezing a defenders mana. You can make the defender waste their SS when it slams into Grazul’s immunity.
When paired with Zimkitha, this duo can provide cleansing and immunity for the entire team. Generally this is enough to ensure that your main trio has enough time to charge up and pick off the defenders.
It works rather well when paired with Zimkitha. I have level 23 mana troops on Zim and level 11 on Grazul. Zim usually charges up the turn after Grazul anyway. The benefit is usually only noticeable if I have a lot of red tiles to work with and charging up Zim a 2nd time around can be done with one less tile.
Yea that’s what i figured which means it’s typically a match already won with a board like that so the mana boost is pretty insignificant for an elemental link
I’m thinking the element link buffs in general are meant for titan teams. It’s the only place where a large enough concentration of the elements will be used together. Mono-color raid specialists don’t necessarily pick element links for their teams when the key SS they need are not necessarily in the wheelhouse of HotM.
Marginally at best. Assuming you put mana troops on every red hero they could be 12 levels below their ordinary break point and work at full effect while under Grazul’s mana gen buff. i.e. a fast SS could be paired with level 17 mana troops instead of level 29. This only works if Grazul’s mana gen buff is active while you are making your red tile matches. This elemental mana gen buff seems to be the least effective elemental link ability to date. The break points for shaving off a tile while charging up require that a mana gen bonus to be active all the time to be effective.
