Hi, all. I am not sure if this is the right place to post this question, but I just wanted to give it a try.
I have always been a f2p. A little while ago I learned about Google Opinion Rewards and decided to try it. I recently reached the $2 cash-out point but the app asked me to link my email to a PayPal account. So I created a PayPal account, linked my Gmail, and the $2 award showed up on my account.
Now my question is, how do I use this money to make a purchase in game? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I have never used it before and I am not particularly tech-savvy. Thank you!
I have done this a few times, itās a great way for us f2p to get an occasional deal.
When you tap on the deal, make sure itās taking from PayPal. You should be able to tap the payment method and make sure the slider for your Google Rewards is set to āonā.
Iām in the same boat (F2P using Google Opinion Rewards), and I never had to use PayPal at all. I just accumulated credit, and when I went to make my (as yet) one and only purchase, it asked if I wanted to pay with my accumulated balance of Google Play credit. Super simple.
By the way, if you use free money to make purchases, are you still considered f2p? Or are you now c2p? Or perhaps pseudo-f2p? What about fc2p (free cheap-to-play)? lol
Wow, I did not know there was a huge discussion on this topic already! I guess Google to Play sounds like a more accurate description @JonahTheBard
Well, I have not made a purchase yet so for now, I can still confidently and proudly claim to be a f2p lol.
In all seriousness, what I really want to buy is one of those deals where your alliance members also get gems. I have always benefited from my teammatesā purchases and I really want to do the same for them. Normally I am too broke to do so but with this free money, I might be able to do just that.
By the way, speaking of the Valentineās Day offer, Iāve heard that someone jumped from one alliance to another just to get free gems from other peopleās purchases.
Itās not āfree moneyā. Itās real money. Youāre essentially working a part-time job doing surveys for google, getting paid below minimum wage, and then using that money to buy gems.
