I’ve been playing three years now. My average spend for those three years is under $2/month.
For 2021 I will be spending a lot less than 2020 but only because I bought the first PoV pass last year (I don’t remember why anymore). As of now I only spend on the gift your alliance gems.
I’m just upset they put the vip deals in the middle or near end of the month where someone like me on a fixed income can’t take advantage of it as I need to budget and all my $ is already spoken for by that time.
Would be nice if it were at the start of the month that way ppl on fixed income or that budget for pay day can take advantage.
Currently I buy vip and Valor passes and thats it most of the time I have bought a couple cheap deals here and there but haven’t in a while so if you take into account Valor is every 2 months I’m spending on average 15$ CA a month but might not do Valor this time, kinda getting upset supporting a game that seems to not deliver much if anything the community (customers and employees of a sort) ask for …and not talking about outrageous things but simple things like balancing heros making HA10 able to reset a 5* and get mats back etc.
Instead we see more and more things that seem mediocre or outrageous on thier end and saturate the game with more paywalls.
It’s hard to justify supporting it.
Honestly I do love the game but it’s a love hate relationship. The community is really what makes this game shine and that’s what sg needs to focus on if they want thier revenue to increase again as they’re seeing as much income as when the game was new opposed to when tell and vela came out and revenue spiked to an all time high.
Sorry kinda ranted but why I won’t spend more then that budget. Maybe If they changed some things like other games where after 90 days of playing toy get Richard or something then I’d be inclined to invest more or actually Making us own our account so when we feel like leaving the game if ever we can sell it to new players or old ones looking for decent alts. Renting pixels isn’t much of a lure to make Me spend more then 15$ a month
I have been playing for just over a year and in that period I spent the equivalent of $ 7,000. (I would give about 35,000 reais more or less). I like the game, although things got very expensive. But I intend to continue investing a lot as long as it is attractive!
I spent roughly $140-$150 USD total. Been playing for 30+ months, so about $5 per month overall.
I know many of you think that is nothing at all, but it’s a mobile phone game. I have gotten a lot more value for a lot less money from most of the other games I’ve played in my lifetime.
Blah blah blah, I already rant about that all the time. Long story short, I’m not at all inclined to spend any more money on this game as long as they keep their current pricing / summoning odds model. Way too much money for too little reward.
This game is great therapy for me. I love it. I used to spend a lot of time in video arcades back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth. I get a lot more game play now with it being handy on the mobile phone. I’m p2p, and I wouldn’t play this game as a f2p. There are games I do play as a f2p or c2p, but not this one. I used to play Dungeons and Dragons. After reading all the J.R.R. Tolkien books it was very appealing. So this game is even more so with all the vivid graphics and such. I used to cycle over 1500 miles a month and do a lot of other physical stuff as well. After some injuries and resulting health problems, I can only stand up for about 5 minutes at a time. The internet is my mental bicycle. This game is just perfect for me right now. If it starts to be a drag, I’ll quit. I’ve certainly uninstalled plenty of games that ticked me off or started to cost too much money. But for right now I don’t mind spending a couple of hundred a month… some months more.
Over the first 12 months in the game I spent around $3000. Much more than I ever expected, but eventually I accepted that. After all, I did have fun during lockdowns and everything. And I couldn’t do many other things anyway.
However, my spending is fading out. In (mostly) unsuccessful attempts to grab the best heros in the game I ended up with so many legendary heros, many of them are seen as underwhelming, mediocre or outdated. But, I’ve decided to play the game with those I have - gave huge money for them, to do what? Wait for better to pop up?
Not so sure about it… 3000$ spent later, I have handful of heros that are considered to be the best in the game right now, like Gravemaker, Gefjon, c.Leonidas, Ariel, Ursena or Heimdal. Although, some of them are getting old by today’s standards. So, honestly, I have no idea what money I would need to get Frigg, Odin, better ninjas, best seasonal or event legendary heros… Right now, I have 0 seasonal and 3 event heros: White Rabbit, Guinevere, Guardian Kong.
Another $3000, maybe $10 000? These figures are absurd as they seem to be. Here’s the list of reasons why I don’t see any point to spend more:
On average I spend about $50-$100 a month. Not a whale, but not small change either. Not going to change, amount may even increase. I love the new heroes and will do what I can to try for them.
I now spend about $7.50/mo — VIP and POV. I’ll make exceptions for seasonal event 4 star materials (depending on what it is) and for gem sharing offers. That’s it.
Last year I spent a lot more, particularly before June. But the gacha nature hit me hard, and kept hitting me, and I eventually learned my lesson.
Unless your phone is something amazing, my Galaxy with a new genuine battery gets about 45 minutes of game play and the phone gets unneighbourly hot. Otherwise I cannot move 1 metre away from the charger. I find the phone far from handy.
I feel like committing violence. I understand randomness but your post has the same effect on me as SG (doing something inappropriate). In two years I have spent probably well over $1000 and that has yielded me 5 x 5 stars and TC20’s has given me the other 5 (duplicate Elenas mostly). I think they are full of it.
I’ve got an LG v60 thinq 5G. I’ve also got a Samsung Galaxy A20. They both do the job just fine, rarely overheating. The LG does the best. The handiness I was refering to related to the problems that I have with peripheral neuropathy, injuries and not moving around much…the phones are right there with me all the time.
You should if u want to…look into upgrading to the phone I have an s10e+ basically an s10+ but can actually fit in you’re pocket for a good price too, it’s a 2019 model phone but with 256gb storage and 8g ram everything runs nice and smoothly even multiple games at once, can find them relatively cheap on Amazon now
I don’t spend: i make use of the Mystic Vision, which shows monetized ads in exchange for 2-5 random items. Purchases using money cheapens the victory.
EDIT: In my opinion. I see monetary purchases as a fast-track. It would rob me of the satisfaction of “i got these heroes & troops by grinding & fighting & being lucky”. Also not in a financial position to justify spending money on “non-essential” or intangible products… Otherwise, i might be tempted to purchase gems, for the purpose of skipping the agonizingly slow building times.
My spending has gone down. At this point, I’m almost 3 years into the game. Just like a good number of people in the same timeframe as me, I’m at a point where I’m constantly waiting for mats, while many heroes sit there at 1x1 collecting dust.
I’m not superbly thrilled with the way HA is dealing with duplicate 5*, but at least it’s something? I have flushed out most of the S1 5* heroes I was missing (Still missing 2). But in 25 recycle’s, I’ve only received 1 non-S1 5*, Neith. At least it wasn’t a dupe though!
I never really kept track of my spending, probably spending $20-$40 a month. Sometimes more, sometimes less. But my last big hurrah was when the new costumes came out. Since then, I’m only buying PoV, VIP, and the occasional $1.99 deals.
If you mean you have the first generation Galaxy ( ) then you are way way way overdue for an upgrade. My 2 year old Galaxy Note 9 with its 4000 mAh battery can last me about 4 hours even with just about 80% charge. No slowdowns, no overheating, just pure joy (until RNG makes me LOL)
Also if you’re wondering about the 80% charge, essentially a phone battery has a limited number of charge-discharge cycles before capacity starts dropping, and it goes dead eventually. Charging to 100% counts as one full cycle (of course), but charging to 80% or so only counts for about 0.2 cycles. The last 20% puts a massive and IMO unneeded strain on your battery, so for this reason I always charge to around 80% and then just stop. It easily lasts me through the day even with heavy usage, so there’s just no reason to charge to 100% and kill my batter 5 times faster.
