That’s some luck, congratulation! I am playing from September 2018 and my Hotm’s video could be easily summed by one picture

To be it fair I’ve got Athena, Kage and Natalya as ex-hotms from atlantis with coins only. So my luck is not that bad after all I guess.

I guess the burning question is how many summons you are doing… With my low numbers of pulls, I have three HotM (the one before Evelyn was up when I started). Margaret, Kingston and Jean-François… Wouldn’t mind getting Telurria, but I’m not holding my breath either.

As I kind of hint to in the video, I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to get the HotM until Around the time Seshat came up. I just got the first few with Atlantis coins. Then I did about 70 pulls on her. I progressed to a 10 pull every event Trying for Neith. Probably close to 1000 pulls over the last 11 months.

Grats, Nice collection. Still it’s no surprise when you spend money in the game. An amount of $30 per month plus free gems and tokens you gain during that period will most likely guarantee you HOTM. Perhaps even less depending on your luck.

$30 is nowhere near the $ amount needed to even get close to pulling a hotm in even a 1/4 of the time

Except Marge and Anz I got all of them, too with about 30 to 50 pulls per month.

You can definately not assume to get every HotM by paying only 30€ per month. Thats about the average I was paying for the last 6 months and got JF this month - my first HotM since June last year. Before that I was spending much less and was way more lucky (Aegir, Zim, Onatel 2x, Frida, Margaret, Ranvir… with an average of maybe 10 pulls per month if not less)
It would cost you far more than 100€ per month to have decent odds on each HotM.

I didn’t post this to make anyone upset. I did not realize the odds were so low 11 months ago when I started playing. I didn’t even think about it until I asked one my alliance members if they had gotten their HotM yet and as the conversation progressed I was informed that was not the normal drop rate. I half thought they were joking with me so I started searching the topic in the forum. It’s almost like a running joke now. I was budgeting $125 US dollars a month for this game until December. I spent money on the event calendar offers, but that was about it. The month I didn’t spend money I pulled 4 Velas.
What I’m getting at is that I realized this is fairly rare and thought it was worthy of posting because I found it pretty funny that I once thought you were supposed to get the HotM. So, laughing at myself and pointing out that sometimes you just get lucky.

Props to you , nice collection I’ve had the same luck my collection starts from the January with Onatel I never wanted Aazogh and Miki so never pulled for them like you I have every HotM so far this year as well

Don’t be so sure to write off Grimble, it looks like he’ll redeem himself as the meta is minion based Hero’s it seems

FYI I spent money in December and pulled two Velas on back to back pulls. Didnt realize I had drawled her and pulled a second time.
I disagree. The puzzle in this particular game is figuring out how to best use heroes. Some are easy, like Gravemaker. There’s almost no wrong way to use him. Because he’s superb in almost every situation we say he is very good.
Others are harder to put in good situations and we call that being less good or bad. I think that’s often roughly reasonable, but the forum can overdo it, to the point that this translation process becomes a straw man.
I have written where I think Grimble will be useful. Almost three months later I think that post is still 100% correct. He’s an investment - a hedge against minions becoming a larger part of the game.
In particular, I am proud that I called out the Delilah flank situation and highlighted that well before I had seen it in practice. Now having experimented with Grimble I feel even more strongly - people who bring him against a Delilah tank are misusing him (unless they don’t have more suitable purple options). If you find enough purple tiles to charge him in time then Delilah should be dead and / or you’d be better off having other purple heroes charged when Delilah fired.
The situation is very different against a Delilah flank. A recent example: I used him in the last war against a 4,200 TP blue tank, Delilah flank team. I countered with a 3,700 3/2 green/purple stack. I killed the tank, they put down one of my greens, Delilah fired, I had Grimble ready, ate four minions, his mana boost charged my remaining two greens, allowing me to fire them ON THE SAME TURN.
That changed a situation where I was an underdog to a decisive win.
Edited to add: This Grimble was at 3.70 and only did ~150 damage per hero. I wouldn’t have cared if he did zero damage. The utility of having the field cleared of minions and having two extra specials ready to fire was what mattered. Everyone gets the added mana gain utility of Alberich (i.e., he’s not primarily a reviver - he’s a buffer), Misandra, and others. Don’t underestimate it with this hero.

Grimble was my first 5* (as of today I have 3) and he’s currently sitting on 3/70 waiting for one more tabard. I’ve watched these discussions with interest but can’t really comment because obviously I liked him when he was the only 5* I had 
As I’m edging up the rankings in raids and hitting stronger targets during the war, I’m finding his usefulness more and more. Yes, many of my fully maxed 4* are higher hitters than him but, as you say, that’s not what he’s there for. I now go hunting for the opponents with minion heroes in our war line ups and I just had a corker of a raid round, with him perfectly fired up just before LotL threw her swords around!
Looking forward to levelling him up completely along with a couple more of my purples so I can try out his link more effectively too. Still my only HotM, even if he was my very first 5* but then we can’t all have OP’s luck.
