Following this shocking revelation from @Shunt in relation to Costume Rigard

I’ve decided to do some introspective soul-searching and denounce other heroes that everyone carps on about which are actually sheep in wolves clothing.

#1 Wilbur.
“Always take Wilbur” has been a mantra since the inception of Season Two.

But against any decent fighting force, he’s a massive liability. He’s a grenade that can easily be lobbed back in your own trench.
“Is Gormek obsolete?” They asked. No. Because if you’re fighting a decent red tank, you need it DEAD. Heimdal, Frigg? I want them dead now, not the whole team a bit hurt. Dead now. So I went crawling back to Gormek with a pie and an apology.

#2 Costume Kadilen
I don’t know what the fuss is about. What’s your power? Sometimes moving out the way? Well done.
And sometimes not moving out the way. Oh. SMASH. That’s a shame.

#3 Aegir
Every time we face an alliance with blue tanks, I do a dance of joy. The guy is as static as a glacier and as useful as a fridge at the North pole.

Compared to other heroes, Finley for some reason doesn’t seem to bother me too much. I’d rather face him than for instance Drake Fong. Just make sure not to buff your heroes right before he goes off.

Wu Kong. This guy is horrible, can he potentially increase your titan scores? Yes. Can he infuriate you to the point where you destroy your phone? Absolutely! I swear you’re better off bringing another “on color” hero to the titan fight than Wu freaking Kong.

Man, this is the thread I didn’t know I was looking for. Good idea.

Since Jonah already talked about cKadilen, whose ubiquity I find puzzling, I’ll mention the other one whose popularity I just don’t get: Garnet. All she does is heal. We never get to the overheal, because the more I hit her, the more scared she gets, and she just does little baby heals. Maybe I’m just lucky, but I never seem to have trouble with her.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d like to use her in my offense, but I’m more than happy to attack a team that has her anywhere in defense.

I agree FULLY on all three of yours. I started working on Wilbur, I didn’t quite see it but everyone said… used him a bit as I did, on titans when I was still getting better heros, but I just gave up around 2/30 just not into Wilbur here.

And Aegir is annoying but he’s not that hard to destroy, especially when you’ve favored using debuffers over cleansers (cough Sabina cough)

I suppose the opposite thread of this is the heros everyone hates that you love!

Gravemaker… DON’T KILL ME, PLEASE!!!:sweat_smile:

Let me say first that he’s a good hero, I can’t deny it, and when I got him in the second ToL, I was really happy.

However, after having read so many good reviews about him, maybe I created too high expectations for him.
I use him more in defense rather than offence. I tend to use a rainbow team when attacking and he’s my third red option.

Take this with a grain of salt since I don’t HAVE gravemaker, but it seems he’s a hero that shines when he’s with the right mix of teammates, and there are complimentary specials - as the GTV scandal shows. Personally I think he’d be VERY good if you had him on one flank and Clarissa on the other.

I remember he used to be a tough tank for my first alliance and me when I began to play two years ago. Now he’s one of my favourite victims, as I’m lucky to have some 5* dispellers and the thief Hatter.

This might be the problem, however I use him with Clarissa on an attack team and just watch the other team melt. I have an alliance mate who hates this setup I run because it gives the other team time to heal and make a comeback.

Different strokes for different folks I guess,

Completely agree. Depending on the rooster, some unpopular heroes could have better synergies rather than the most popular/ favourite/ used ones.

I’ll add another to this list, and it’s Shadereave! This guy is completely underrated. he adds 30% and 30% crit to every hero! This is amazing especially in a red stack or a 3-2 red. Your tile damage will go through the roof just by adding this guy. Plus if you die you get reborn to fight a little longer to finish off the team. He is a must in red stacks.

Add Guardian Chameleon to this list as well. He really shines in tournaments with no purple or yellow. bring him with whatever color is allowed (purple or yellow) and watch the other team melt under your color changing powers, and add 54% attack and 36% crit! dude is a powerhouse!

I’ll thumb wrestle anyone until my thumb cramps up if they disagree!

I think Toxicandra is too overrated. Her special skill is very nice but her heal is only 24%, I’d rather use Rigard-C or Melendor-C, they are easier to get and cheaper to emblem.
On defense she’s too passive, I faced a team with her in the tank spot and that was an easy win.

Well… I regret having removed the barbaric emblems from Azlar to give them to Gravemaker!!!
Why did I waist in vain a reset token and resources!?:face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth: :scream::scream:

Regarding Lord Loki, why can’t you choose an enemy and use his/ her ability against another one? Why can’t you copy an ability of an ally? Why can’t you copy the strength leven of the enemy ability? WHY? WHY? WHY?

PS: I can’t be unreasonable. My mind is too logical.:sweat_smile:

Close, but you’re way off.

This is for heroes that everyone likes that you think are chocolate teapots.

So, observe

This guy is a drudge. He turns up late to the party and tries to prop up incapacitated drinkers. How about instead of trying to time your heroes dying so this guy can feel validated, we all just take someone who keeps them alive in the first place.

If I’m feeling a bit under the weather, I want a doctor, not an undertaker.
