After a long while I decided to do more HA8, just a small hunt for Captain of Diamonds. I can live without him, but I currently donāt have food to use/waste for HA10 retrains.
So far he didnāt come up.

He was my last prize from HA 8, and Iām glad I saw it through till I got him. He is what he is - a minion-killing specialist - but with all the minion spam out there these days, I think heās worth it.

He is worth it in todayās meta. He and C Gormek both avoid me like a plague and I have literally no counter against Hulda. Skadi doesnāt work against her. I can live without him, but it would be nice to have him.

Ouch. Thatās tough. Do you have Gobbler? I even emblemed him up to deal with the minions. They even come with their own effects now!

He isā¦ I need to lb and emblem him for survivalā¦ But manā¦ I wish he did just one more thingā¦ 2% def buff for every minion destroyedā¦ Boosted health for every minion destroyedā¦
Butā¦ Given that he can get rid of 15 hulda/arvo minions without a second thoughtā¦ Not too shabby.

I do, but I need druid emblems elsewhere. Just a too busy class for me. I just avoid Hulda for nowā¦ I had Gobbler emblemed at some point, but I reset him.

Captain of diamonds without emblems was (for me with no grimble eloise etc) a life saver in s4 boss fight. And absolutely am i finding way to use him with the minion meta. Might take him to +20/LB so he lives longer

Iāll bet. I was fortunate to have Devana, whose lynx minions kill the annoying watchers every turn. She made that fight a straight-up cakewalk.

So all in all I was very fortunate with my HA8. In 21 trainings I got all 4 missing 4* from Old events/CF1 - Peters, Boomer, Cheshire Cat and Captain of Diamonds. Gretel, Lancelot and Jackal never dropped, but I already have them and 2nd Jackal isnāt really a thing to hunt for anymore, donāt think I would really use 2nd one at this point (except mythic titan).
And from 21 trainings I hit the pool of 20 S1 4* heroes 11/21 times while I hit the pool of 10 non-S1 4* heroes 10/21 times. Thatās also pretty lucky.
So Iām going back to do trainers.
