I think so too. I might have exaggerated a bit, but is passives are really amazing.

I used this guy on defense and offense in the rush tournament, but I didn’t feel like he was THAT great on offense, I must admit.

I have mine Lb2 and +25, he is great but just doesn’t;t hit as hard as I was hoping/wanting. But it also depends on the heroes he hits.
Some would only receive 150 damage per hit, where as some were receiving 300, so it depends what heroes and paths have been used for them. I would definitely say max him if you enjoy or participate in rush wars
I maxed him as soon as I pulled him (LB2+25). For me damage is good enough. But his strength is in passives and reset buff. Definitely needs good timing if you want to see his full potential 
The problem is, most use Faiez and Jolly in defense, so he does even less damage and and burn does nothing, unless you can do it when faeiz doesn’t activate, which most times is very difficult.
Although I was using Joukanheim or whatever his name is, and costume kvasir with him.

I was hoping there would be RNG occasions when Helgi would hit the same enemy several times and that could help break the Jolly/Faiez combos. I don’t think Helgi was the biggest help here. I have a lot more success with Boots against those two since they can’t block wither.
