For owners of Hel and got her costume, which version you use more often? And what talent path you give the priority? Attack or defense?
cHel is a Cleric, not a druid. Personally, I find myself using her costume all the time instead of her base form.
With mana control being fairly common on defense (see Luna, Mena, and Lemonwood), her Manashield talent does more than the Wizard form’s Jinx would.
Additionally, while her base form completely freezes mana for 3 enemies for 3 turns, her costume steals mana from 5 enemies for 4 turns. Given the prevalence of toons and Softskin, it can be difficult to find a grouping of 3 enemies that won’t have at least 1 resist the base form’s mana freeze. By hitting all 5 enemies, cHel is more likely to provide mana control for more targets.
Additionally, I find her mana steal a bit more versatile as I can either ride it out, using the later turns with 75-100% mana stolen to clear off-color tiles, or go on the offensive by using the stolen mana to fire her more frequently.
That said, as her stats lag further behind, I find myself using her more for the former. As such, I feel my original decision to emblem her defensively for the Cleric form was the right one.
