It’s strange, replying to your post with about songs we’re not ashamed of 
Every year for Christmas in The National Serbian Theater The Nutcracker ballet would be played and you have to book the tickets at least a month in advance. I’d go every year, usually twice, to sit and cry from joy just marveling at the masterpiece that’s The Nutcracker.
I’ve seen and heard most of big operas and and ballets, but The Nutcracker wins in every segment (followed closely by Sleeping Beauty).
