though it might just not show the symbol on the enemy. I almost swear it worked even though the symbol didn’t appear once.

If this proves to be the case, it’s likely the same as this bug:

Athena attacked Vivica and Vivicas buffed defence (+64%) just got removed without additional debuff (-41%) from Athena. Jackal attacked Domi and her defence was not affected by his color debuff (-54%). Devs, check these and correct your code if bugs found.
