Greedy Gus here... Any way to predict offers?

Okay, as a spender I like to spend to bolster my team.

However, since I’ve cut back my spending (not because of the game, I love the game. No I just want to stay married and take care of my kids.) I like to holllllld off just to see what kinds of deals come out. I did get the 30$ deal most recently and have a little more budget room for the month.

My favorite deals, of late, are the tiered deals… (5 dollar deal, 4 in stock, 30 dollar deal, 2 in stock, 99 dollar deal, 1 in stock) with myriad items and gems.

Is there any rhyme or reason?

Some of the deals are extremely random (based on “world pizza day” or some weird thing…) and others feel ‘timed’ whilst still more are ‘progression dependent’.

additionally, if there were some secret code I could type to have @Petri @mhalttu or @Sara tell the devs to push these kinds of deals… I would totally do it. (subliminal message)

I guess I would say that I would like to know if E&P has a grocery-store like ‘circular’ they could publish, stating ‘well, in addition to the event .99 cent deals, be sure to tune in on 2/14 for a gem deal we’re sure you’ll love’

I know, I know… I’m part of the problem not the solution.

But think of it this way: Some humans go to a roulette table and drop 10’s or 100’s of thousands and lose it ALL. At least I get to play with my losses for the length of the time the game exists :slight_smile:

There are patterns. I am not the type who notes every deal, but if you were to enter them in a calendar or spreadsheet, I am sure your work will help you.

I believe the 99 cent deal happen by Friday

I would guess they won’t tell you. Too many people would hold on certain deals if they knew a better one was just around the corner.

Yeah. The .99 cent deal unlocks early Thursday AM for me on east coast US.

See, and that’s the truth right there. Also why I had to cut back. I bought all but 2 or 3 deals during both hween and xmas.

There are definitely deals that always come with challenge events (next one starts thursday) Atlantis etc. Seasonal events too, though those are less predictable? As in what to expect. I egnore most deals on the grounds that there will be another one along in a minute lol

I’m in a similar boat as you, I too like to anticipate when certain deals may be around the bend, but alas there are very few ways to predict when certain deals are coming. The only ones I know of that are totally consistent are the challenge offers that will appear every time we have our monthly challenge event, and there may be a few others like that I’m not thinking of.
As you stated, most of the deals we see come around are totally random stuff like “COME HELP US CELEBRATE COMIC BOOK DAY BY SPENDING $100, WOOO”. I’m not complaining lol, the deals tend to be pretty awesome if you have the money to spare for it, but it’s mostly random for sure (ice cream day anyone?).
What do you mean by “I’m part of the problem not the solution” ? If you consider spending to be a problem, I personally disagree and am unsure why you would feel this way. Anyhow, cheers.

Well, and the deals that I’m trying to predict are the ‘off-cycle’ deals… I buy the s2 and event gem deals. As stated, I love the seasonal deals a little too much…

Just the special sales that are intended to grab the attention and dangle a 5* (technically a 4* item I know) ascension item as bait to spend 20-30 bucks.

Oh by the ‘i’m a part of the problem’ it was a nod to those who complain that the game is trending to P2W (pay-to-win) and that people like me are the reason the game trends that way…

all the while disregarding that this is a business… a virtual casino with virtual cards spending real time and real money for digital pictures to do different things in a mockery of competitive enjoyment. :slight_smile:

My humor is a bit on the dry side.

I figured that was exactly what you meant, and I pointed it out intentionally because I think that belief is 100% pure rubbish. First of all, if we stopped spending nothing positive would come of it, at all. With that being said I would love to see some pretty big changes to the way spending works in this game, so that it would be more “balanced” for everyone involved, but eh that proves to be incredibly difficult.
I’ve been gaming my entire life, I was gaming while I was still a seed in my Dad’s…you know… I remember back when the game Chrono Trigger was first released onto the Super Nes, the retail price at Toys Are Us at the time was $79.99 if I remember correctly (I may be off by about $10) which is pretty freaking expensive for a video game. The amount of enjoyment I got out of that game turned out to be priceless, it far exceeded $80 or any other figure I can come up with really. This holds true for most games for me in general because of my passion for what I love doing.
I have no idea what point I was making, just that I have no problem spending money for things that I love doing I suppose, there fore I have zero guilt in regards to the end result :wink: . Party on Garth.

I posted a similar thread asking about this.

I would love to see a 10k gem offer. with a few gold tokens and at least 2 ascension items for my 5* team. It’s been done before. The one I want the most is a 12,500 for ~99.99.

(it sounds like I’m planning to blow my budget this month, but I want to bed the Red Queen)

Really?! I thought everyone gets the chance at the 5 * .99 deals (200 gems/ea) during the events?
