C Viv is the better choice for a minion-heavy setup, as they do a lot more damage when the enemy is debuffed.

Actually yes and no.
I use normal Vivica for the reason of survival.
Difficult maps require survival skills compared to damage dealing.
My autofarm team:
cRigard - Vivica - Grazul - Tarlak - Aegir
Buff cleanse heal and share damage are the key points. This is meant for auto mode since it would take awhile to win an S3 map.
I’ve done most of season 3 levels (both normal and hard) with the following team: Freya - Raffaelle - Gullinbursti - Khagan - Zeline.
Freya’s crows help quickly mitigate damage until Raffaelle (finally…) charges up. Gulli, being on his right side, has a bigger chance to fire after Raff, which helps to increase the health pool. I had my ■■■ handed to me several times, and also several times had to help them poor chaps on the beginning until crows kicked in, but it mostly worked 
I’d die of boredom if I had to play all that manually.
EDIT: All heroes are +16-19 emblem-wise.
