Give me something for my money, SG

Sure, and I am not one that subscribes to the notion that it is “theft” every time I or anyone else pulls expensive feeders. Nor do I think that any hero should be guaranteed. I do feel that preserving the game for all types is important. Like I said, I am not even 3 months into playing, and I am not f2p. I would hate to see a mass exodus of players who can’t or won’t compete so they delete the app.

I agree. I wont spend money on it anymore, except when a deal is is really good. I have gotten very lucky in a couple draws, but when it’s touted as a bug red event full of several four and five star heroes, and you get the same lame a$$ 3* heroes… I don’t care what you programmers and developers say, your algorithms are seriously flucked up. Just how many Balthazars, Beliths, Ulmers, and more often than the rest, Renfelds can I get? The same goes for Atlantis summons. I’ve had about 12 summons, yet about half, HALF, were Gato. Really?!? You call them a “rare” summon, but they’re just the norm. If you’re going to do this, why not simply have a 4* and 5* summon, of various colors, but raise the coin level to 2000 coins, instead of 350? I bet more people would spend money on them. 3* heroes are simply POS trash heros I use to level up my others quickly. SERIOUSLY, ADD A 2,000 TO 2,500 COIN SUMMON FOR 4* AND 5*!! No more of this continually receiving 3* sh++y heroes I epic summons.

BFD, You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Small Giant is only focused on one thing, how to get players to open their wallets and let them in. For I myself have spent well over $750 (not proud of that BTW) on this game and like you said GOT NOTHING IN RETURN. When you email them and complain, their scripted response is, "well, it a game of chance and and you must be patience. I’ve played many on line PC games and when I contributed money I at least got some sort of instant gratification. The only gratification anyone gets in the STUPID game is knowing that you will come back and give them more money. And then their is the waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting, and waiting,. GET MY POINT Little giant.

you got nothing in return? not even having fun playing the game? how much money have you spent on lottery tickets with nothing in return? did you complain to the state lottery? how much going to a sporting event where you sat in the cold rain and watched your team lose? did you complain to the sports team? you could have invested the money instead of playing the lottery. you can watch the sports games at home on TV. You can play this game for free and not spend any money, millions of people do it. you chose to spend the money on this game and you can chose to not spend money on this game. complaining about the choice you made to spend money just sounds like a little kid whining.

if you don’t play the lottery or go to sporting events you can substitute those examples for any other entertainment expenses you participate in. taking women out to dinner is another example.

Step 1 - develop a fun app game
Step 2 - design it to make people spend money
Step 3 - profit
Step 4 - laugh at the 10% of them when they complain about spending their money

Not to be a jerk, but that is literally the exact reason they created the game. They’re doing this to make money. The odds they’ve created are pretty bad. But as long as people pay, they’re unlikely to change.

There is a (mostly) constructive discussion of how to better balance the F2P/P2W dynamic over here:

i think the worst offense from small giant is hiding behind probabilities. Let’s face it, most of people don’t understand it. that’s why casino, lottery exist.

Not sure how this can be considered an offense. It’s not SGs responsibility to teach everyone about probabilites. Nor is it their responsibility to make sure everyone understands probabilites.

Finding out how probabilites work is the responsibility of each person. What’s great about the time that we live in is anything you want to know can be found on the internet. Do the research, understand the subject and make the decision. The excuse of not knowing and blaming someone else for trouble is no longer applicable.

Or just ask on the forum. Several of us would be happy to do the math for you and convert it to more everyday language like “one time in every 5 that you try it.”

can you do some math for me? What are the odds that these people that are saying they will never spend money on this game are still spending money on this game?

Approximately 95% probability. About the same chance as someone “just buying VIP for one month, and that’s it.” Iron willpower is a precious commodity, and not super common.

you mean pushing the blame to you that you decided to open your wallet and spend money on this game. ok, you’re right, it wasn’t your fault. you are a winner.

As above
Thank you @LadySuzanne

I mean no 5 star also no hero of the month too

So that will happen to about 4 people in every 100 who spend $300 on pulls. You did get a little unlucky, but it’s certainly not an impossible outcome given their published percentages. I can see why you’d be disappointed.

and next time you might get 2 or 3 good heroes. so, keep spending! your luck has to turn eventually. “you can’t win it unless you’re in it”.

Where I am concerned. 0.

No.

Stop spending. Get your fortress and then your TC to 20 and then wait.
