How hard is this gargoyle event ??
They hit hard, their mana bar goes off very fast and they have stoneskin, you can`t fire off your own specials because it only does 1% damage because they have this stoneskin for 3 or 5 turns. By the time you have waited for stoneskin to end they go off again ffs.
Why do you make events so hard for the majority of people ??
So so annoying, sort it out.
The only hard level is epic 10. Last gargoyle event for epic 10, I couldn’t pass it. And had to change into a riposte team just to take down goseck in one shot
Did you check which heroes are used by top players? Key is a shared damage, in red team it is Wilbur in blue C Gunnar. Most important thing for epic is to get proper battle items: bombs, axes, small and medium mana pots. In first wave you don’t use any specials or items, in second wave initially you move stones to lower enemies health and to put on a board more of your heroes color stones. At the end, try to finish them by 2-3 axes or bombs. Last stage you will enter with almost maxed stone skin, but you don’t care. You fire specials: shared damage, maybe defence down and attacks. Then axes and bombs, then using mana pots you are loading your top attacker e.g. Colen and you fire till the end of mana pots. You should finish them or at least lower their health, and you should be able to finish them with one, board move. Of course it depends on a boards, but this is a way how top players are doing 
This is something I noticed too. The developers didn’t code this event correctly because you can’t tell me that Goseck and Kalø charge just as quickly as El Duque or Arco…
It is hard, but beatable for most players.
The stoneskin will not last for three or 4 turns, but for 3-4 hits. If you send 3 off color tiles into the stoneskin that counts for 3 hits.
I struggled with epic10, I did epic stages with my regular red mono team:

I found Proteus to be the single big key on this event. Fire him, and other specials up to 40% stoneskin, then shuffle tiles 3 turns, you should be a 20% stoneskin and can fire him again if charged, or use a mana potion then fire him. You do have to watch the slash attacks, of course.
Epic stage 10 is a hard one for sure… I found that C Sabina works well blocking the stone skin buff. Took. Me a couple of tries to win the last epic stage but its doable with just axes, arrows, minor potions
For rare, I used Jouk to block buffs and I didn’t have to replay any stage (I dont care about score).
I am yet to try my team at legendary stage 10. I just completed stage 9 and ran out of energy. So far I have been using C Sabina, C Marj, Kara, Wilbur, and C BT. Not easy wins but I am happy to be completing the event!
I did Epic 10 with this, easy no sweating.
Just a few axes here and there and mana pots for proteus…
Which is really hard is the portal…theres no way for me to summon an event 5☆

I am not summoning this portal… still trying to recover mentally from summoning around 75 pulls at the costume portal for just 1 Grace… not even a new 4*… that was for sure an easy portal with lots of Hawkmoons

I lost Wu Kong and Anastasia, but Ferant did his job. Mist was very useful preventing gargoyles to get the Stone Skin buff.
I thought I had bad luck with my 5 pulls. I stopped pulling that portal and will try next time. Still have 20 more pulls to try.
Nah, not even that one if you have Proteus
Proteus isn’t a one man team, but I think it’s fantastic to hear an olde S2 hero is still relevant in this game.
Minions help bring down stoneskin in a short amount of time. Minion summoners also help in raids and wars with gargoyle heroes.
Just for the fun of it I finished the entire 5 star event with only 4 star heroes 
So no I can´t complain it´s too hard.
I think people just bring the wrong type of heroes, mainly hitters (which are reduced greatly by the damage prevention). There are lots of interesting heroes to bring other than hitters. Overheal, Counterattack and Mana Control.
Also buffs (especially tiles damage boosters like WU, bertulf or CWilbur) are more useful than ailments in many cases because of the cleanse they get when the counter is full.
Use items strategically to set off the stoneskin counter. For example cast all your buffs just as Proteus runs out and refill his mana, then they get the cleanse and their damage reduction goes down to 0. Cast a new Proteus, remove stone skin with tiles/minions and hit them with strong tiles.
The epic level 10 cranks up the difficulty over level 9 by like 10-fold. I had to bring proteus and keep an eye on that stoneskin to make sure it didn’t hit 50%. Definitely not a smooth difficulty ramp.
Alright so I tried 7 times to win legendary stage 10 with Wilbur C Marg, Boldtusk, CB Viv, and Kara. Also tried to replace BT with Mist but still all trials failed…
Bosses charge very fast… its hard to keep wilbur and Kara active before enemies fire at all times…
Once Gosek fires once without having Wilbur and Kara its GG for me…
any tips guys?

its timing. don’t fire off your mana unless you need to. I beat it with little issues until the last of the hard track. Fortunately i had a spare 75 gems but I went through it
