Future revamp ideas for Perseus

Okay, among the HOTMs, Perseus is one of the weakest imo. He’s good at 2000-2300 trophy but that’s it. He barely deals meaningful damage to higher ranks, even with +20% damage granted to the defense team. Sadly, he is my first 5* ever and I really like the illustration. It would be really exciting to see him buffed in the near future.

So, here’s my proposal. Let’s adopt Alice’s concept to Perseus because it would make it more complicated for any opponent to find a good time to heal their team given there’s one hero with Perseus’ mark who will also have the effect reset to bring around another annoying 4 turns.

Here’s current Perseus card:

First of all, the stat. It needs to be improved a bit. Then the damage, then the effect. So I would propose this for future revamp of Perseus:

735 / 708 / 1367
• Deals 365% damage to the target.
• The target gets -100% healing for 4 turns. This effect duration is reset if the target is healed. This effect cannot be dispelled.
• The caster and nearby allies get +63% defense for 4 turns.

The reset effect will make a huge difference as it will leave the opponent confused whether they must heal now or later. The sacrifice one has to make when they heal early is much more significant than before. This way, the presence of Perseus in a longer game could cause you to lose one hero at a time.

The buff is changed to compensate the still-relatively moderate damage for a single-target hitter.

Yes of course i agreed with this idea. Perseus right now is the most weakest *5 hero of the month. Although he is one of ancient rome god. He should be at least have same power or same strong with athena or stronger than leonidas. I think the damage should be 375 not 365.

Perseus was one of the first ‘niche’ players to come out before a ton more came out. I have him and use him as part of my ‘the center is a healer’ team which mostly is Guin. I think he just needs a bit of a buff in the special damage. Bump it to like 380% or so.

I think that Perseus isn’t a bad hero at all… :smiley:

…But Alasie, Ariel, new Aegir, Arthur, Alice, Frida, Missandra and Magni are better and if not better definitely more versatile. Perseus is a niche hero and I really doubt they are planning to buff him significantly and if they do, I think he will recieve Thorne treatment. Some % on the ult and some stat redistribution.

I think your ideas are splendid: stats changes and increased dmg should do it. :slightly_smiling_face:

Lol I forgot I’ve made this before cause apparently it’s been too freaking long and Perseus still hasn’t got a revamp.

So here’s a new idea:

[Deals 215% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
The target and nearby enemies get -50% increase for any healing received for 4 turns. This effect cannot be cleansed.
The target and nearby enemies get -34% defense against Normal Attacks for 4 turns.]


I’d love to see that one implemented. We haven’t had defense down specifically against normal attack so this kind of defense down would stack with regular defense down and elemental defense down. Using Athena, Perseus, Frida, and Miki against Titans would be amazing. Time to make Perseus useful!

Other ideas:

[Deals 220% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
The target and nearby enemies get -50% increase for any healing received for 3 turns. This effect cannot be cleansed.
The target and nearby enemies get -54% defense against Ice for 3 turns.]

[Deals 235% damage to the target and nearby enemies.
The target and nearby enemies get -50% increase for any healing received for 4 turns. This effect cannot be cleansed.
The target and nearby enemies get -39% attack against Ice for 4 turns.]

[Deals 375% damage to the target.
The target gets -100% healing for 4 turns. This effect cannot be cleansed.
The target and nearby enemies get -54% normal attack for 4 turns.]

Btw yeah the correct wording is “minus percent increase”. If you give a minus to some “reduce”, that would actually mean double negative = an increase.

Since words doesn’t seem to capture the dev’s attention for so many freaking years, I’m posting this pic! Just make this come true. A lot of people would be so excited. :stuck_out_tongue: So yeah, I was intentionally not making it too powerful, but not too dull either. Three targets with reduce healings is definitely better than zero healings just for one target. Additionally, Perseus here can reduce defense of the enemies but specifically for Normal Attacks. He would be the first hero that gives defense down specifically against Normal Attacks, which can be perfectly stacked with other types of defense downs. From zero to hero cause lotsa people would start using him paired with Titan legends. :stuck_out_tongue:
