(I can’t seem to make a poll so doing this the hard way)
Background - Frigg and Fogg are the only maxed 5* green I have and I have a few options at various stages of training. I have Sergei maxed, who I currently use as a poor man’s Tarlak on titans. I am p2p and pull fairly often. I won’t have the emblems regardless of who I choose. None of them will be on the defense team. My difficulty getting those and ascension mats make me gun shy on anything but sure-thing 5*. Where do I go?

Most of my healers are the usual suspects. C. Melendor/BT/Rigard/Kirl, and D’Andre. I also have Ariel and am working on Zircon (that’s another dilemma I’ll have… is he worth the scopes if I already have her? I’d welcome thoughts on that too.)
Tarlak was my thought until pulling C. LoTL, but Sergei has actually been working out much the same for titans. By the way, Sergei is a yellow titan annihilator between attack up and elemental down abilities.
I suppose war depth and quests/challenges are my biggest needs.
You have good defensive hero, elemental def down, regular def down, a sniper (all that in just 2 heroes! nice). What you are missing? A healer. And C LotL is perfect one to have. I would go with her no doubts. Forget about Bertila; Elradir is nice but a specialist, wouldn’t recommend him for 1-3rd option, more like 5th+; Tarlak is replacable, at 3.70 he’s good enough for Mythic Titan secondary squads. Can’t go wrong with LotL. She’s great.
Welcome to the club. But I think I’ll ascend mine, even though I also have Ariel. Note however that
…if you just have Ariel + Krampus, I’d work on my hitters before maxing another healer.
Aside from zircon, I have a frosth at 3/70 and an untouched isarnia, Thorne, and Richard are the only hitters options I have in blue. No costumes. Not sure I want to start dropping mats on season 1 heroes.
LotL is a superb hero. Can’t go wrong with her. Especially that it is hard to tell which one is better - original or costume version. In the original, the minions seems to be better but the health boost is clearly better than the regular heal. Total monster for towers, tournaments, and wars, especially the rush ones.
In case of Zircon, he is also very good hero. Our alliance mate has him with BK in the war def team and the war attacks often end with few points. His revive from talent and undispellable buffs makes him sooooooo annoying. Fortunately, I have Chameleon who can deal with him easily.
Voted for Lady of the lake as she is really a beast, especially her minions who take away mana from opponents (ideal for auto farming hard levels of S3 / S4)
But you should really take into consideration that you need firepower as well, so maybe Elradir / Bertilla would serve you slightly better at the moment (and Lotl after)
Thanks to all of your input I think I will go with LoTL. The costume offers her just a little bump to stats and she could be brutal on mana paired with Elizabeth.
I would love to be able to pair Zircon with Krampus on a defense team but I think that makes me substantially vulnerable to a green stack. On a regular or reverse defense I might be able to protect them with Elizabeth as a tank or front wing but that might require testing. In wars we use blue tanks out of lack of options so a blue tank/flank combination is asking for trouble. I see them pairing very well on blue stack attacks though.
I use Tarlak at 3/70 on blue titans. Our clan has stalled out on 8* titans and he survives. On other titans I use an emblemed Sergei. Don’t have Miki or Gazelle.
