Have seen many such messages from once eager, optimistic players. Not everyone is thinking of leaving, and some actually are excited about developments…

… but many are feeling turned off and pessimistic as well…

I started that thread, and I probably should impose a personal cool-down between posts. Anyway, I don’t think there is a high number of players announcing their intention to retire in there.

I have, as of today retired from the game. Level 76, spent far too much money and cannot see any light at the end of the tunnel. The QA with the devs showed a level of cockiness and self assured direction that filled me with despair, they have only one agenda and that is to make as much money as they can short term. I don’t think they have enough imagination and direction to take the game much further than they have. All the focus is on releasing stronger and stronger 5 star heroes and the pricing is obscene. I have loved playing the game and have loved my alliances but the addictive side of my personality puts me in a position that’s not sustainable, at least I don’t want it to be. Limit breakers are idiotic and I’m so glad that I won’t be part of this next chapter. So from me, give em’ hel, over and out xx

I have left alliance life behind and only log in MAYBE once a day to see what quests are out there. Been in beta for years, spent way too much tbh, but the lack of listening to anything beta has to say over the past 6 to 9 months has made me leave a top 50 alliance and basically quit the game.

I was jaded before limit breaker but this sealed the deal for me. I know they wont miss my few hundred bucks a month, but hopefully enough of us leaving will make then hurt a little.

I had the privilege of being an alliance mate of @azgamerdude in TBD - always took on all the nastiest war opponents. You are missed!

I’ll say cheerio here. (An odd place to post as “favourite” wouldn’t be the first word used to describe me )

As anyone who knows me is aware, I no longer play Empires and haven’t done for nearly 18 months. I haunt this forum for reasons unknown, even to myself, to be honest.

I have zero insight into the game as it stands now and offer only outdated opinions. Lol, I’m like the unwelcome long lost Uncle at a wedding; people are aware of me but avoid conversation where possible.

No self pity intended, I’ll leave you kids to it.

Special thanks to @Sarah2 @sleepyhead @akionna @nevarmaor @SamMe @Pike @sft1965 for perseverance. Anyone I’ve missed who I should have named, I apologise.

But then anyone who frequents the A-Z game will know, I forget the easiest of things all the time.

If I may guess the reason - I think you continued to haunt this forum, because it is the best gaming community around, and it is not easy to farewell forum buddies.
