Before Elkanen’s damage buff, Evelyn was everyone’s choice to level up and ascend over Elkanen. Now I am wondering if Elkanen’s buff to 330% makes him a better choice over Evelyn now. Whatch-ya’ll think?

Elk isn’t terrible, but Eve is VERY strong.

With something this lopsided, it’s hard to see how an argument would start. Evelyn is just miles ahead of Elkanen. They’re not even in the same time zone.
King Arthur v. Frida is an argument. Evelyn v. Elk is not.

Lol I meant I was expecting some unkind words to be said about elkanen was all, there are threads about how much he is disliked and often used as a bench mark for how bad a hero is lol. Yes obviously evelyn is better.

The argument to ascend Elk is this: in a mono green team, Evelyn sets the table, and Elk feasts.
This isn’t to say he is better; he isn’t. If you need her on your defense, by all means, ascend her first. Could you wait for Lianna (or Greg, assuming he gets recycled through the Atlantis portal) before ascending Elk? Of course.

I actually am going to second that 100%. It doesn’t change my view, but it is a more complicated decision than one realizes. My experience with this is with Frida and Guardian Panther.
Frida came quite late to the party, so to speak, after I already had a fully ascended Kiril and Grimm and a Richard just starting out his 4th ascension, so Frida had plenty of firepower that could plow down the door after she’d cracked it open. How much firepower? I had my entire blue team kill themselves off a reflecting rare red tiger in 4 tiles just today because of Frida/Grimm/WuKong. 4 tiles. It’s nuts.
By contrast, I pulled a Panther recently who is much higher level than my Frida and will be for some time (Frida will be my 2nd blue 5* after Richard, Panther was my first purple). Panther’s party consists of… Rigard, Sabina, Cyprian, and Merlin. When Panther opens the door, there’s only crickets. It can do pretty spectacularly if I have a purple diamond ready to blow, but that’s not always the case.
I still think Evelyn should be leveled before Elkanen, but Evelyn by herself is the loneliest number.
If i were u i’ll ascend eve, but i’m not u and u could be my opponent in raid. So for me to face easy raid opponent in the future, i suggest u to ascend elk and give all ur emblems to elk… go for elk

Evelyn is more versatile. She is a utility hero similar to Zim and can pair with many heroes.
Hits-3/Dispels/Color Debuff/Link heal
Main utility: Dispel and Color debuff
Elk is a rather niche hero. Mainly for defense.

On the bright side Sabina does some tile damage for you. Well, on the bright side…you have G Panther!!
For OP: Evelyn, 2nd Evelyn and then maybe someone else… Elk is worthy of effort if he can be paired with Eve. Melendor will do decent damage when green stacking and his heal with her elemental link heal will certainly make the green stack somewhat tough (Melendor is still liable to being one shotted by the higher level titans)
